New system and better layouts

Hi Everyone,

Apologies if you are waiting for an answer on the Yes or No post. At the moment there are so many comments that you have to click 'Load More' 5 times to see my answers. Ridiculous - and something I have never experienced before.

I am working on a new comment system that should be able to better support the amount of traffic the site is now getting.

Thank you for your patience.

I'm coming back I promise!

    1. Buy it from boots online and have it delivered to local boots. Mine took less than 2 days.

    2. I am not Caroline, but, as an American am unable to purchase hydraluron. I have been using and loving Darphin hydraskin serum which contains hyaluronic acid/sodium hyaluronate plus a few other hydrating ingredients. I use it during the step where Caroline suggests hydraluron and it has worked wonders over the last few weeks :)

  4. I've just started using the Clarins exfoliator and toning lotion with camomile but its breaking me out. Skin is normal/dry combo.

Is there any reasons why this might be happening/other exfoliating and hydrating toners to try.

Thank you, love your blog! Xx

    1. hello, same for me!
I think the skin is cleansing itself "inside-out" !
Just waiting a little while to see what's up !

    2. It might be due to the fact that it contains 'propylene glycol' which out of all the glycols tend to irritate peoples skin a lot and may have some allergic reaction. It may have chamomile but if there are irritants in that toner then the positives are mute

    6. Hey Olivia I am using the clarins exfoliating toner as well for day and night, I don't think you need a second toner. So maybe just stop using the second toner with the chamomile and see how your skin reacts to it. Could it be possible your over doing it with the toner?

    7. i think for a while just use on toner or the other. when i was using two my skin was like WOAAAH and just found it was too much! nivea night cream may be a bit rich with rosehip as well xxxxx

    8. Thank you both, I shall try the exfoliating toner on its own and see how it goes! X

    1. Have you read Caroline's fact sheet and her answers on Acne, cannot guarantee your problem is there, but, would be a good starting point while she is still trying to answer the hundreds of questions from the Yes/No post of 25th June.

Sorry Caroline, but I feel for you trying to help us all, when so much of the information asked has already been given to us. Please feel free to delete my entry. Ali. xx

  14. Aspirin mask...yay or nay?

    1. Not sure if this post got through, but Ill shoot it anyhow. Salicylic acid has been shown to help with removing of dead dry skin, so maybe a yay. But I would use just on and off since it tends to be strong. Great for pimples, whiteheads/blackheads.

    1. Im partial to yay since aspirin is more or less salicylic acid in tablet form, which has shown benefits on skin like exfoliating and getting rid of dead skin to bring out new skin. Its a nice cycle

    1. Caroline had done various posts on SPF, may be worth you checking them out? I use Clinique Super City block, which is Hirons approved, never had any spot issues. Decleor do a good one too (again Caroline has posted about it). Also, when you are using an spf you need to double cleanse. Caroline has said, often people break out when using SPF because they don't cleanse it off properly. Do read through previous posts including the cleansing & spf cheat sheets, they are hugely useful.

  20. Hello Caroline,

I missed out on that post:(. I need some help picking cleansers. I have dehydrated/combo skin with some spots on my chin, forehead and cheeks. I am currently using Clarins cream cleanser ( two toners pepta, hydra and Kate Somerville's goat cream and Cliniques cleansing balm for pm) . I think REN clay cleanser is what I should buy, but because of the dehydrated skin I have been using a cream.
I know you are overwhelmed with questions, but if you have a moment that would be awesome. Thanks! You are inspirational.
