  4. Hi Caroline :) I'm 19 and have taken Roaccutane in the past several times but while my skin was great for a while it seems to have gone back to its old ways within months of stopping each time. I've decided I don't want to take it again because it was causing lots of problems with my stomach, plus I'd like not to have to rely on it anymore, especially if it won't have long-term payoffs.

My skin is oily in my t-zone, I have lots of small bumpy spots, nothing big or red like a cyst but they cover my whole face, especially my forehead and the sides of my cheeks to jawline. I also have dryer areas like on my cheeks and around my eyes and mouth. I was just wondering what products you would recommend using? At the moment I'm trying out:

    AM:
    Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel
    Pixi Glow Tonic
    Serozinc
    Hydraluron
    Eyesilix

    PM:
    Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm
    Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel
    Pixi Glow Tonic
    Serozinc
    Hydraluron
    Clarins Lotus Facial Treatment Oil
    Eyesilix

    I also use:
Alpha H Liquid Gold 2x weekly
Oromovicza Deep Cleansing Mask 1x weekly
Aveda Intense Hydrating Masque 1x weekly
Aesop Control whenever I feel like my skin is breaking out more than usual and inflammed.

I also take Perricone MD Omega 3, Lamberts Vitamin D and Bio-Kult (probiotics) supplements daily.

I have no idea which day moisturiser or night cream to use. I've tried so many in the past and I've always found that they are the two products I'm never happy with. They're often too thick and rich for my skin, or too matte and strip everything away. Is there anything you would recommend that is an inbetween and will hopefully not break me out? Also, do you think there is anything I need to change to my current regime?

I'm sorry this was so long. We all really appreciate you taking the time to read our comments. Thank you so much!

    Kathryn x

  5. I'm not Caroline (obviously) but have you tried Kate Somerville goat milk cream? It is lovely and hydrating, but has a light consistency. I am sure Caroline has mentioned it would be good for acne / spot prone skin when she has posted about it. x

  6. Hi Caroline, I don't know what to do :( My skin is extremly sensitive and dermatologist said I have begginings of rosacea. Few weeks ago my cheeks started become red, in some places red like strawberry. I have always been quite sensitive and I had one blood vessel broken but now I'm really worried.
I bought Avene range for skin like this and I use this and Cinique take the day off as my first cleanse and Effaclar Duo in the night on my t-zone. I also have Clarins exfoliating toner but to be honest I tried it last year and my hiper-sensitivity started as I was using this ao Im afraid of using this.
My t-zone is quite oily, cheeks are not dry, they are normal, just pinky/red. I don't know how to treat my skin properly, I'm afraid of experimenting with it. Would you please give me some advice? Or make a post about super-sensitive, rosacea skin?
Thank you for everything what you do & sorry about my english!

  7. Hello - I have Rosacea too. Have you tried keeping a food diary to see if you have any good triggers? I am made worse by red wine, coffee & cheese (some of my favourite things). Combining good skin care with watching what I eat makes a lot of difference x

    1. Hello :) I was just wondering that it may be some food reaction but three antibiotics in two weeks may have connection to this too I guess. Oh I looove red wine, cheese & coffee... but I'll definetely give it a try, thanks a lot :)
