This Works No Wrinkles Midnight Moisture

You know when you get home - and you're exhausted/you've had a ridiculously long work day and you just want to go 'oomph' and collapse on the sofa? This is the cream you need to take care of your face while you do just that.

This Works has been around for a few years now and I've always dabbled in and out of the range - this though, is lovely and will be a permanent addition to my collection. This is not for you if you are a 20-something with spots. The second ingredient is shea butter - but if you aren't in that category, this is a beautiful cream.

Aqua (Water), Butyrospermum Parkii (shea butter), Simmondsia chinensis, Caprylic/CapricTriglyceride, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glycerol Stearate PEG100, Xantham Gum, Dimethicone, alpha Tocopherol, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Phenyl ethyl alcohol, Rosa rubignosa (Rosehip oil), Oenethera biennis, Prodizia, Lactic acid, Retinol, Hexapeptide-3, Hyaluronic acid, Collagen Peptide – M2 Marine, ACE, Citrus aurantium flos, Lavandula angustifolia, Cymbopogon martini, Pelargonium graveolens, Rosa damascena.

It has retinol, peptides galore, lactic acid and hyaluronic acid - but it doesn't feel at all like your typical anti-ageing night cream. I've been using oils overnight for years - this though, has snapped me back into using a night cream - and I'm really enjoying it. It's luxurious, absorbs brilliantly - and my skin had a noticeable difference in the morning. Any cream that can do that for me gets the thumbs up.

Midnight Moisture is £46.00 and available online www.thisworks.com and at Space NK/Boots etc

  1. This one is going on the wishlist for my London trip in May !

  2. This sounds like such a great cream but my skin is so sensitive with products that may make you break out so I'll have to give it a miss unfortunately :(

  3. My skin blocks with a lot of creams and most serums. Would the sensitive be better?

  4. Hi Caroline, any opinions on the 'yes to tomatoes' daily clarifying cleanser?

    Thanks, Laura xx

  5. Caroline, I have just run out of the Kate Somerville Goat Milk cream *sobs*. Thanks for a great recommendation, do you know of anything similar that can replace it as my everyday cream available here in the UK? I think it ran out so quickly because my boyfriend has been secretly using it everyday as well!!!

  6. Hi Caroline! Absolutely love and am hanging on every word from BEAUTY MOUTH!! I want to come see you and glen all that I can. Please let me know when your next consultations will be available!! My bestie and I want to come soak up your wisdom. And promise to crack you up along the way!! Thanks for all you do!!!

  7. I'm a bit confused. In the ingredients, silicone comes before the good ones you point out - lactic acid etc. If the good ingredients beneath the silicone is in a high enough concentration that they give an effect, wouldn't that mean that there is a lot of silicone in there too?
    Just curious.

  8. I bought this the very day you put it on Instagram and have used it for over a week and I'm loving it. It is incredibly light and absorbs very well. In fact, I put it over my de Mamiel face oil (and before that there is Perricone Cold Plasma and Kate Sommerville's deep issue repair; I know, bring on the big guns - have to with age!) and instead of the combination being heavy and sticky, it just sinks in and my face feels so soft and well moisturised. My face is smooth and well rested looking in the mroning. I'm so happy with this cream, and can't thank you enough Caroline!

  9. Caroline , you mentioned this in another post , so i quickly ordered it ! Lol and your right its beautiful , you wake up and your skin looks like its rested and had a great night sleep even if you havnt , one wonderful thing for me about getting older is i no longer wake in the morning to looking how many new spots i have , ok i have lines but my skin is now normal and i appreciate it so much more than when i was younger xxxxxx thankyou for your wonderful knowledge and advice

  10. i´ll try to get it

  11. Caroline, I'm surprised you approve of this one with all those PEG and EDTA in there! however, you are my Bible, so if you say so, I trust. Being in my late 20s and with blemish prone face, this is not for me though... so I'm glad this is the case, as I would have otherwise had a great dilemma. I'm a REN kind of person and I was glad to see you favoured them that this comes as a shock...!

  12. Hey Caroline, this sounds like a lovely cream but it has dimethicone listed above many of the antioxidants. Does this mean that it's still ok to use? Also, in a general sense, what is your stand on silicone/dimethicone in a moisturiser? As P Begoun lists a Clinique moisturiser as a best rated product but the second ingredient is a cone.
Any advice on this confusing topic will be much appreciated!

  13. I'm 30 and looking for a good night cream. Currently I use the indeed labs retinol reface at night under the origins drink up intensive or khiel's midnight recovery oil; would I skip the reface if using this night cream so as not to use two retinol products together? Thanks for any advice!! :)
