Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil

Cheeky Clarins. This review was originally going to be in time for the launch in February - but this was released across Clarins counters and online on Sunday and is already sold out nationwide.

I can see why.

The Instant Light range was always going to be expanded on, such was its success (clearly!). I've used the original perfectors since they came out.

Between the weather and travelling for work, this gem of a lip product saved my lips last week. It's comforting, soothing, shiny without being sticky and has my most-favourite lip applicator ever. I kid you not. It's the most comfortable use of a product ever.

It contains:
- Polyglyceryl-2 ISO-Sterate/Dimer Dilinoleate COP-Lymer
- Dilinoleic Acid/Propanediol Copolymer
- Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (Jo Joba)
- Corylus Avellana Seed Oil (Hazel)
- Prunus Insititia Seed Oil
- Parfum/Fragrance
- Vanillin
- Tocopheryl Acetate
- Ammonium Glycyrrhizate
- Capsicum Annuum Fruit Extract6
- Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (Sun Flower)
- Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary)
- Leaf Extract

and is designed to enhance, protect and nourish, which it does, wonderfully.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil I am told, is going to be back online by the end of the week from www.clarins.co.uk and it is £18.00.

Join the queue. I have (need the raspberry!).

  1. This is something I will certainly give a go, as I too love the originals and Clarins oils in general. Thanks, caroline!

  2. I'm so glad to read your review on this and even happier that it gets your approval! I've wanted this ever since I saw it floating around on the internet a couple of months ago but wasn't certain that it would have beneficial ingredients that work, I think I need to get this asap! x

  3. Doesn't an oil on your lips feel awkward? Or does it sink in easily?

    1. It doesn't feel like an oil - more like a thicker-textured lip gloss, but with lots of slip. I don't find it at all sticky.

I saw someone else's review and legged it to the Clarins UK website last week, got a Raspberry and I looove it! Very little colour, just a hint of pink, but hey, that's what lip liner is for. ;-)

  4. Caroline, how would this compare to something like the Hourglass lip treatment oil? I ADORE that stuff but the price tag is steep!

  5. Ooh interesting that you say it's not sticky when other reviews have said otherwise. Think I need to try it out for myself!

  8. What a unique product! I must admit the price seems a bit hefty, but if it works then it's worth it!

  12. Looks lovely!
Did I just post a comment? Hope so, if not I was practically begging for your help. My skin has freaked out, no idea what to do. Sensitive skin, irritated (red, warm, bumps/blemishes, dry/flaky+oily). Pretty overwhelmed over all the tips and tricks out there. Possible to send you an email, or post a question/get advice? Know you're busy..

  15. Might be a product to have a look at once my beloved rêve de miel has gone.

  16. You wouldn't happen to be doing a clinic anytime soon would you!?

  17. How does this compare to nuxe reve de miel lip treatment? My lips are in dire need of help!! But everything I try seems to sit on the surface rather than penetrate an hydrate :(

    Thanks :) xx

  23. I live way out in the country and miss being able to look at all the new products and see the colours, I get my fix through your blog and Instagram. Having read this post I called into my small town's "nicest" chemist, the lovely Clarins lady had been supplied only 2 of these and had 1 left, this had to be "a sign" so it came home with me, a bonus was that people of a certain age are given a 10% discount on Lancôme and Clarins! This product is seriously lovely, rich, not sticky (no need to push my hair behind my ears LOL), my Clinique juicy tubes thing is still in place over an hour later and having eaten lunch. Yay! Caroline you are the greatest.

  27. I bought one of these last week after a good review from the girls at Pixiwoo. Went back for another one today only to be told it was sold out because each counter had only been sent 2! So, so nice, and fantastic to hear that it's coming back soon (ish). Thank you for clearing that up.
