Iluminage Skin Rejuvenating Pillowcase

As all of you have demolished the stocks of the GingerLily pillow I talked about last week (please do let me know what you think!), I thought this may be worth looking into for those of you that didn't manage to get one. The Iluminage pillow is available from Space NK and I have received some comments from readers since saying this was one was also amazing. I'm giving it a go this evening while my other one is in the wash. :) This one is copper oxide as opposed to silk and has clinical trials to support the claims...

'Iluminage’s skin-rejuvenating pillowcase is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles resulting in smoother, younger looking skin in as little as four weeks. Made from 100% Cupron copper oxide polyester fabric, it releases copper ions when it comes into contact with skin.
The ions help support the skin’s renewal mechanism and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles without irritating the skin.'

Anyone tried it? Thoughts?

It's available here: spacenk.com/skin-rejuvenating-pillowcase for £50.00.

  1. Hi Caroline, I've been a big fan of 'anti-aging pillows' for over 10 years and a short while back I did a post on the different options available and why I think they work: http://www.iheartbeauty.net/2014/07/iluminage-skin-rejuvenating-pillowcase.html

  2. I find that my cotton one doesn't give me any problems. Can't say about wrinkles as I'm only 18 and so don't have to worry about them appearing for quite sometime! X

  3. I've heard that silk pillowcases are great for reducing hair frizz as well facial crinkles. Never heard about this copper ions pillowcase though. I will await your conclusions!

  5. Copper is excellent for its antibacterial effects. You'll find it in a lot of labs' cell culture incubators (interior walls, shelves, etc). The Cupron website doesn't list studies done to test the effect of this pillowcase on severe acne (or even spot breakouts?), but I would be willing to bet it can help.

  6. This one is pretty popular in the USA. I haven't tried it though!

  7. If it is the copper ions that do the anti-aging, is there a maximum duration of use? I mean, someday all the ions will have been released.

  8. I bought a (much!) more affordable one from Jasmine Silk with silk one side, cotton the other (for less slippage?) First try last night, loved it, my skin is so sore at the moment and it was just a relief to have something so cool and smooth against it. Thanks Caroline for the prompt. Mwah.

  9. I am excited you are gonna try this, Caroline! I love mine, it's super comfy and I am very happy with the results so far. Not sure about the whole "copper ions supporting skin renewal" claim but I do see a difference.

Now, when are they gonna come out with complete bedding? The rest of my body could use some rejuvenation too ;)

  10. £50 for a pillow though. This after spending £58 on a serum, £60 for a day cream, another £40 for a night one, saving up for a Clarisonic while still using my trusty plain old brush, forking out for regular root touch ups, brow waxing and leg hair wrangling. No, no I draw the line at pillows.

  11. They also sell a silky pillowcase with the copper tech in it on Sephora.com for those of yall that live in the states. I can't remember the price, but I am one of the lucky few eagerly awaiting my gingerlily pillowcase :) I'm sorry to brag, but that's how it goes. I'm also the psycho that is harassing sephora.com about the SundayRiley Luna Oil release and they are staying quite hush hush! Bastards. Not really, Sephora! Kisskiss! I will get that oil, though! MUAHAHAHAAAAA!! Okay, comment over.

  13. I ordered this one from Sephora and am curious how it feels compared to the silk one. Btw I got my silk pillow case from this site in the US, apparently Oprah is a fan too 😃
