  4. I'm really tempted to try Missha First Treatment Essence (apparently a great dupe of SK II) now that i'm seeing you into essences too, should i apply the essence after my exfoliating toner, instead of my rosewater spray? and after hydraluron + eye cream + moisturiser?
(I´m a bit confused about the order of the essence with hydraluron)
Also, any good serum to recommend for a 24 girl with combination+sensitive skin?I wanted to add some anti oxidant serum but i can't find anything that looks so worth it to splurge
    Thank you!! <3

    1. I'm not Caroline OBVS :) But I do cleanse/tone/spritz Caudalie grape water/essence/hada labo. I also tried with hada labo and then essence, but this one seems to suit my skin better? I'm not an expert (OBVS!), so Caroline please feel free to slap me down if I'm doing it wrong :) But we all react differently so what might work for me, might not work for someone else.

Missha changed the formulation of both their essence and ampoule recently so you might want to check the ingredients first especially if you have sensitive skin? For what it is worth - haven't tried the essence, but I used both the old and the new version of the ampoule and had no reaction.

In terms of essences there are so many to choose from on the Asian market - from let's say high street brands like TonyMoly, Cosrx, Innisfree to high end brands like Su:m37, Iope, Sulwhasoo etc - they have something at every price point. I use Cosrx and I'm super happy with it. Innisfree soybean essence for example doesn't contain niacinamide which is great for people who react to it and want to try an essence of some sort. So you know different formulations for different skin types are available?

I mean - no offense to Mr. Ford, who I'm sure is a lovely man :) I couldn't find the inci list for his essence anywhere. It might be a secrety trade secret or something? But I'm sure Caroline will clue us in once she is done testing it :)

    2. Thank you very much R.! :)
I finally ordered Missha essence, the new one, after checking the ingredients I shouldn't have any problem with it so hopefully I'll be happy with my purchase. I've heard about the Innisfree soybean but I'll check all the rest you named above!
I was also thinking about Ole Henrikensen collagen booster serum (I know is a different thing) but I can't get it where I live so I'll try to get a sample when I go to the States.
Thank you again for your recommendations :) <3

  10. That remington sounds amazing. Gonna try and get my hands on it. I'm unfortunate to have hair everywhere and I'm tired of bleaching my beard :(

  14. You look extra gorgeous lately. The photo at the top of this post is one of my favorites of you. I am always mesmerized in the videos by how smooth and glow-y your skin is. I'm aiming for that ideal!

  15. How long should the retin a adjustment period last? The breakouts are still constant after 14 weeks and I'm getting married in 8 weeks. I really don't want this skin for my wedding, should i stop now or stick it out? I'd love to hear your opinion!

  16. Always love your videos even though our seasons are opposite, heading into winter here in Australia. I did purchase one of the Bobbi Brown bright pink lip crayons a few days ago, yes, they are released here already!

I have always loved, loved, loved your eyebrows, they are the perfect shape, very envious.

  17. I love that you still get so excited about getting new things! I mean, why on earth would you still be doing this if you didn't love it, right?

I have the Berry Sheer lippy from Bobbi and it really is fab.

I wish Estée Lauder didn't put so much fragrance into their skincare. They have some items that seem like they'd work for me, but I can't tolerate the fragrance. :-(

  18. Hello Caroline !
    A thought from France ♥
When you said you are shaving your face, do you mean like "shaving" or "hair removal" ?
I am sorry for that, it's just because we really use two different words back here... do you know if it is possible to use this device if we do hair removal on our face ?

    Thanks !

  19. Hey Caroline! I discovered your blog about 3 months ago but I'm 19 and from Australia and SOSO inlove with your advice.

So far I have Clinique Balm, Hydraluron and Kate Somerville Goat Milk.

Since using these products I have good days and bad. I have combination skin, with oily tzone and a then dry and dehydrated everywhere else. I break out super bad on my forehead and along my jaw line, cheekbones near the hairline and, chin, top lip. But it isnt like pimples or whiteheads, it's more like black heads underneath the skin? If that makes sense, like they just are bumpy with no head. Many people describe me as congested. I have a fair bit of dark hair on my face, I scar quite bad (I'm Anglo-Indian/Portuguese/Italian) on my olive skin.

Would you have ANYYYY recommendations for next steps I can take ??? Do you think it could be the hair that is doing this? I didn't have the hair about a year ago and it wasn't as bad, but im so confused as to what daaaa heelllll is going on
