Cult Beauty Box - more details

Thank you for your massive response to my first Box for Cult Beauty.
There will be another (final) product reveal on Tuesday but in the meantime, I wanted to give you the breakdown of the box's pricing.

Both myself and Cult Beauty are of the thinking that there are enough beauty boxes on the market offering samples and trial sizes. It is already a busy sector of the market being done well.
For that reason, we wanted to offer something different that gives you a real, tangible saving across full-size products, not something that could feasibly be given away as a gift with purchase.

The Cult Beauty Box by Caroline Hirons contains 5 full-size products along with one deluxe size and two trial sizes.

The total cost is £140 which includes free Worldwide shipping, while the box itself it has a total saving of over £100.

Due to the high value of the saving they are limited in number and will be offered to the waiting list first, giving you, the readers of this blog, the first opportunity to see and buy.

So if you are interested in the box and have not yet done so, do join the list here: www.cultbeauty.co.uk/cult-beauty-box-caroline-hirons

    1. You'll appreciate being able to buy treats and luxuries when you're older and in work. Nobody gets everything they want for their entire lives - at least nobody I'd want to know.

    2. What a silly comment. Not all students are young - I'm 33 and back in third level education. I'd hoped to be able to afford this beauty box but it will cost me 2 weeks' rent so there is no way I can justify it. I would have been happy to get smaller sizes for a lower price. Maybe the next one will be more affordable.

    3. No not just students I'm older (43) & I'm in full time work & so is my husband and there is no way I can afford this gorgeous box of heaven :( will keep avidly reading the blog and "Dreaming" of the day I can afford skincare over £30. Thank you Caroline for everything you do . Get well soon x

    4. Can't keep everyone happy all of the time. Cult Beauty isn't exactly a budget friendly site - the clue was in the title of the box. Thankfully Caroline done a budget recommendation feature for a whole month recently so at least there is lots of inspiration there for those that can't afford the box.

    5. Niamh, my "silly comment" was to Gemma Robinson, who is quite young in the avatar photo shown. Please don't internalize comments not made to you - it's not good for your worry lines. ;)

I just don't understand whinging about these things. Nobody can afford everything they want. Why feel entitled to everything? It's not a reasonable expectation.

  3. Love this idea! And yes, I will definitely be having beans on toast for the rest of the month, but it will be completely worth it :)

  4. Yes!!! I knew you wouldnt let us down :-) Brilliant box and the two sneak peeks already add up to £100.00 ish. Thank you Caroline and Cult Beauty x

  7. I can't wait for this box! It's obviously going to be good value for money.
I live in the country, where mobile phones and the Internet are considered 'witchcraft', so it would be helpful to know the release date. That way I can arrange to be 'visiting family'....

  9. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery, Lady H! Just wanted to say that I love the way you have designed, marketed and priced the box. I'll be in the fray throwing (virtual) elbows to get one. You're running this project like a f*'ing boss.

  10. These will go like hot cakes! *prepares to race to get one*
By the way, my mum was on a work trip to Dublin this week, and I found out that there was a SpaceNK there... so I sent her to it with instructions (Sunday Riley, Zelens, etc), and the poor salesguy got an earful about 'her daughter' and 'a skin blogger' lol. He ended up convincing her to take Perricone MD products and afterwards she was anxious that I would be mad that she didn't listen to my recommendations! (Though I did get both GG and Luna :) - thanks mum!)
Hope you get well soon Caroline!

    1. I'm more worried about how much the Mumbai Customs department will charge me on this! I've been charged ₹970 on a box whose value was $20!!! 😭

      Delete
    2. The customs in Switzerland are awful too... it's not enough that everything is more expensive here, they have to make anything you order internationally expensive as hell too! I ordered something for £75 from the UK and I had to pay an additional £20 to receive it. Ugh!

      Delete
  13. Still too pricey for youngsters :( And there probably will be 40% of heavy anti-age products, so not for me *sigh*

  14. really wish that the wait list buy comes later in the day UK time or at least it gives us a good solid 6 to 8 hours. I'm in the states and if it comes at 2 a.m.and I miss out I'll be crushed

  15. Wow this looks amazing already! Thank you for all the hard work you undoubtedly put into this!

  17. I think you made the right decision about the box. I'm not sure I will get it as I already have the MV Organics oil (and the use by dates are never very long) and I don't know how interested I am in the Oskia product. My main issue is probably going to be that I pretty much buy every product you recommend for my skin type so I may already have a lot of them. But I still think the high end / price point / full sizes was a great choice as I'm sure most people would prefer to make some excellent savings on some products they can guarantee will be good than have lots of little products and 80% of them aren't great. Cult Beauty are going to love you - even more! :-)

  18. When will find out the entire contents please?

  19. I am not poor at all, but not making money in pounds and in amounts, that are usual in Britain. And it is almost twice as expensive, as my monthly rent in the heart of Prague. I also understand its own uniqueness and the fact it still saves money. I will continue to buy stuff from REN, Elemis, Oskia etc with discount codes and be happy with that.

  22. NO NO NO NO WORLDWIDE SHIPPING TO USA.

I have been in contact with CultBeauty via numerous emails. I was told that their site isn't set up for US Dollars. Also, shipping address isn't working. If you put your shipping address in, it keeps asking for providence. I contacted CultBeauty again. I was told put my address in twice. I did that, STILL IS NOT WORKING.

CAROLINE, please look into this. This is going to cause them a massive amount of bad press, because you have a lot of followers in the United States.

PLEASE LOOK INTO THID BEFORE YOUR PRODUCT COMES OUT.

    2. I got anxious reading this. Maybe relax a liiittle bit?

    3. I have ordered many times from. Cult Beauty and I live in Sweden. No problem with the address. They charge in English Pounds, but then you have lots at apps to check the rate....

      Delete
    4. Make sure you check the exchange rate first. Especially if you are in the US, currently $1.54 = 1.00 GBP. That is significant to me. No, they do not charge you in dollars on the site. You will see it on your bank or credit card statement along with conversion fees if applicable depending on your credit card company or banking institution. Just an FYI.

    5. Thank you SAM, MVSR, SANDRA, K. WEST. I received an email from website. The issue will be fixed for us, USA buyers.

  23. I really love the idea and the way you've done it. And I think full size products is definitely the way to go. But my big question is how will I know that the products are right for my skin type?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Wait what? i see a shot of you hooked up to some IV drip with the text, no major dramas". Please tell us its a new trial on internal beauty and nothing serious!!

Did I not get the memo on the frequency of your Cult Beauty Boxes? Once a month, or 6-8 weeks? Quarterly? Just to budget it in and mark it on my phone calander.

Feel better soon Lady CH and no more shooting up the beauty elixers, you scared me!

  25. Ugh I don't think I can justify spending this much on skincare when I recently purchased so many products that were recommended on this blog, need to use them up first. :)) I really hope this is not your last box but a start of many future possibilities. Also I think many readers here must have a variety of skin concerns- from acne to anti-ageing at extreme ends. So far the revealed products didn't appeal to my 23 year old hormonal skin, but one can never please everybody! I'm just hoping for a future targeted skin care boxes :D Come on, Caroline, please do more of these in the future... :D

  29. So about $261.44 CAD. It is a steal for the Brits for sure..a little high for Canadians but if shipping is included that's good. The customs hit could be deadly (though British stuff tends to sneak in better than US orders). Hmm. I think it's going to come down to what is in the box. If it's a fit for me and my skin it will be worth it.

    1. I usually multiply by 2 and expected cad 280, 261 sounds a lit bit better, bun not totally sold yet. We need to ask to send this as a gift or something to be able go thru custom without a headache

  30. So exciting. already on the waiting list. Thank you so much for doing this - safe so much for great products. you're too awesome.

  31. I hope you are feeling better Caroline!

I'd love to know what kind of demographics you feel the box would most suit?

I assume you have tried to keep it fairly much for 'anyone with a face'

Am I wrong in thinking ️️glow tonic will be in this considering that CB are a new stockist :)

As another reader also commented earlier, I'd be interested in a really targeted box, age prevention/first signs would be good for me.

    Thanks again

  32. *And back into the real world* ...way too much too spend on products that I don't know will be the best choice for my skin

    ReplyDelete
  33. Cult Beauty ships free worlwide after 50 pounds, so I was expecting the price of the box to be at least 55, but 140... I don't know yet. Last month Sephora had sale so the damage was done already and this month is your full- I'm pretty sure- of good goodies box. If a custom (Canadian) asks for some duties I will def say no to it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ommmmmmmgggg....ah that's like $215 dollars I think. Hmmmmmmmm.......ughhhh....arghhhh....okay I'm in. I'm hoping the savings are worth it! Currently pregnant right now so I'm hoping there isn't too many retinol items in it

  37. Thank you, Caroline, for collaborating with Cult Beauty to create this box. At nearly forty, I have only recently become serious about my skin care. I've had good skin most of my life, so I've been lazy with my skincare. No excuses, but I can only move forward. A Christmas goodie bag from Sephora had a great face oil sample in it, which eventually led me to your blog and YouTube channel. I have been reading/watching since February and tried to follow your recommendations and purchase some of your more affordable skin care recommendations. My intention is to slowly work in some of the more pricey recommendations (don't worry, I also look on my own and try samples) as needed/desired. However, some of your recommendations are from brands not easily obtained (I have to order from overseas) in the US. This box is perfect for me. The two products you've shown are ones I wouldn't purchase for the reasons above, but since they are in a box with other goodies at a great price, it works. Also, if there is a product that doesn't work for my skin, I can always share with my sister whose skin is completely different. Full size is great as well, especially for overseas customers. Have a great week, and be healthy!

  38. Really looking forward to seeing whats in this box. Yep some people are concerned about the price BUT theres also a £100 saving too. (thanks Lady H). Im sure you have thought very carefully about peoples skin types etc when compiling this box too. One of the things I love about you is that you don't do BS and won't be 'brought' *so to speak*. Always have great budget buys amongst your 'favourites' on this blog. You believe in the product rather than just in the brand name.

    * high fives you! * ...well maybe not the poorly arm (hope you get better v soon) x

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sounds like such a lovely box, but £140 is too much out of my price range sadly but so many are going to be thrilled with this box! If you are doing anymore boxes, one specifically for young acne prone skin would have be shelling out millions :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. I wish I could afford it, but as mentioned previously by other Canadians, the cost is just too high for me once translated to Canadian $. Also, we can be hit by high duties and brokerage charges, particularly if ordered through Fed Ex or UPS.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to join in on the fun.

    ReplyDelete
  41. yay! the only thing we need now is a launch date and I can start my 24hr vigil. Maybe should ask husband to write code that raises an alarm as soon as the box goes on sale *calls husband*

  42. I didn't in all honesty expect to be able to afford this box of gorgeousness as I'm no longer able to work, but I am getting so much pleasure out of seeing everyone else's excitement it really doesn't matter!! I love that it's full of full size products and at a really good saving too & I wish you lots of luck in this venture Caroline, not that you'll need it, these are going to be snapped up like no ones business!! Everyone that does get one, enjoy!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I can't really justify getting this box, with the euro being so low in value. Maybe if I really want 3 out of 5 :) However, I like that it's all full-size and all approved by you. Even for all skin types it seems, based on both of your reviews of the two revealed products. This will be a wonderful box for everyone who gets it! Do you plan to release more boxes?

Everything I bought based on your recommendation is lovely. My skin is much more hydrated, although I keep getting new spots on my chin. Probably too much sugar!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Has anyone from Canada ordered the box? Wanted an idea about customs
Even though I did fill in a list of goods to follow. Dunno if it counts.
