  1. Yay, I have skipped the Space NK gift for this and it is definietly worth it!!

  2. This may seem a redundant question but will the sale open at 8 am when the waiting list closes?

  3. Wow!!!!!! Dear Caroline Beauty Box, you will soon be mine...... Just waiting for the email!!!! Bread and sausages for the rest of the month, but who cares???

  4. Coriander, bleurgh from me too! In other news, yay, cannot wait!

  5. Am I the only one which is not wowed? First it was mentioned 6 full-size and 2 trial size, now it's 5 full size, 1 deluxe, 1 trial and 1 sachet. I know the savings are obvious but I feel that I want it beause it is made by Caroine not because I like products so much sinse I want to try only Oskia from this box and the rest is just hmm (mask has low rating in the cult beauty store). I'm not quite sure how I feel spending CAD 260 on this. I may pass. Hope to see more beauty boxes from you, Caroline.

    1. No Anny, It's not just you. And people insinuating how skint it's going to leave them just to buy something they hadn't realised they wanted until now makes me feel quite uneasy!

    2. The Alpha H Liquid Gold has been classified as 'deluxe size' as its 50mls, but I've seen that size for sale elsewhere as a full size product around the £30 mark, so it's 6 full sizes in my eyes!

And the box will not be everyone's 'cup of tea' - Caroline is bloody brilliant, but she's not a miracle worker! *

*i recant that last statement in lieu of actually securing box, getting box home and trying all the products first. If they do indeed work miracles on my skin, I will petition the Vatican to have Caroline Cannonised...

    3. I feel the same way, when it was initially announced I was very excited but I'm not that interested in the products. I'd like to try the Oskia exfoliator, I already love Omorovicza products but the mask is a trial size and I will try Bio-Essence at some point but I don't feel the need to spend £140 all in one go especially when I don't care much for the other products.

This is in no way to degrade/demean the box, I think it's a great idea and will be good for many. I also sometimes think that the products talked about are more geared towards older/wealthier people, antiaging/renewing and the price tags. I'm still relatively young and although I splurge occasionally I think I have different needs/general price range :)

    4. Not wowed, either. Especially not for $ 240. Oh well. Pass.

    5. I'm torn, it's a great box and good savings but do think everyone needs to remember that - it's basically like having an almost 50% coupon code and if you wouldn't buy the products/they wouldn't suit you then erm, don't get sucked in. I think the reason it's the price it is is so that she can offer a saving AND actually sell enough boxes not to disappoint too many people (hopefully). I know when the selfridges boxes went on sale for 30 quid they didn't have nearly enough and it'd be Caroline who got the flack if say they only sold 50 boxes for a very discounted price.

    6. On the one hand, if you combine the Tata Harper, Oskia Balm and the MV Organics oil (the three that made me really excited about this), it comes to £138, and then you could just say that the rest is "free". But... I feel like it's not what I expected. I don't know why! I think it's awesome that Caroline is doing this (thank you so much for doing this for us!), but I'm not sure if this combination of products is going to make me fork out the £140 (I'm sure the boxes will sell out anyway).
I think it would have been cool to have a box that has a complete routine in it - cleanser, toners, serum and moisturiser, products that complement each other.
I'm not sold on the Bio Essence mask (heavy on silicones and is a drugstore brand in SE Asia - although considering this congrats to them for not using animal testing! Progress people!), and I'm a bit confused on the multivitamin David Kirsch, since Caroline said she doesn't recommend multivitamins. I feel like a complete ass with my comment. Please continue being amazing Caroline and I'm sure loads of people will be delighted with the amazing skin they'll get from these products.

    7. I woke up today with a thought of not buying it sinse the price and not really desired products. Went to check my email didn't find any from CB, went here, see that I can get it with VAT. excluding and ordered it.

I consider myself somehow young (28) but I try to have a good skin and don't use as much makeup (sinse I failed to do so except some basics like mascara, lip color, face color). I like natural beauty and want to preserve mine. So I invest in skincare. I have a lot sinse many of bottles and tubes last me almost forever and I noticed that what have been working before just stops working one day and I buy something else and the same thing happens. I know at some point I will need something strong and science behing products but I want to be sure that the last drop will yet efficient as the first one. Boxes like this I consider as a great opportunity to try something proven with a science behind with the PRO recommendations aka Caroline. I just received a Liquid Gold bottle couple weeks ago and I don't see immediate results like everyone else does, so my point could be totally wrong. I just want to have a great skin, I'm ready to invest in it and not really playing around much because there are so many other things in life to be crazy about. I hope something in this box will work for me.

  8. I can't tell you how excited I am for this. I'm in the US--Nevada-- and found you via Pixiwoo. I love your "Don't f@#$ with me" attitude about skin care. I have a question or 20, I am a skin care junkie...I love beauty products. My problem is that I not only do I have ADD regarding skin care, I have sensitive/reactive/dehydrated skin. Products for sensitive skin have even caused me to break out. Can I please get advice from you? PLEASE? I promise to follow your prescription assuming I don't get a rash. My super sensitive zone is my neck and chest. Again, love your attitude. I'll make you cookies.

  9. Quick glance prices in £ if this is handy for any of you lovely folks.

    Oskia balm 46
    Bio essence mask 29
    Tata RNC 36
    Alpha H Liquid Gold 100ml* 33.50
    Aurelia night oil 45
    MV cleansing oil 56

Not sure what Liquid Gold deluxe size is (haven't watched video yet) but the pic looks smaller than my supersize which is 200ml

This adds up to £245.50 without taking into account the two trial sizes.

    Thanks Caroline, can't wait!

  13. Omg Aisling, me too!!
I have the most 'First World Problem' EVER - I am going to New York in three weeks (first time - sooooo excited!!) and have a shopping list of skincare. Now I'm in a total quandary for whether or not to buy the Box or buy my NYC products. The box has more variety and I can still get Slip and Good Genes in the States. Ooooh - I don't know!!!! I've been sitting for an hour doing calculations, GBP to USD comparisons and either way I'll be making a massive saving.

The box looks fab! Thanks Caroline for doing this :)

  20. Hmm... I was really excited for this box and I'm not anymore, I'm afraid. After looking up (googling) these products they all seem a bit same-y with the oil theme, which I do love an oil don't get me wrong but I'd like more variety. And the moisture mask has sub par reviews and is loaded with silicone, which my face just doesn't agree with. The Oskia and Tata Harper are the only two I'd like to get my hands on. That and the satches just put me off a bit. So, as much as I adore you Caroline, and how you've reformed my skin care attitude, I'll sadly have to pass. The SpaceNK gift with £150 purchase is a much better offer at this time as I can get the products I want and still get a heap of goodies for essentially the same price. Enjoy to all those that do get it though!

    1. I have to say, I agree - I went into Space NK yesterday and spent my money on Luna and Good Genes..... would've forked out for this too if it REALLY grabbed me, but I think I've probably bought enough new stuff recently (on Caroline's recommendation!) and have enough steps in my routine already so will give those a go first and see how I get on and hope that Mrs H does another box in 6 months time (pretty please!!)
The box does look to be full of lovely stuff, but I think I've reached skincare complexity overload for now!!!

    2. I should also say here thank you, Caroline. Thanks for not only offering such a quality box but for detailing the contents to us. All too often we purchase boxes with no idea of the contents and whilst it is exciting for £12, for £140 it would be a shock to get products you couldn't use. So, thank you for that. I have no doubt it will be a great success and I look forward to the next one.

  21. Caroline i think this is amazing and I'm so excited for you!!! I really hope you do more boxes as I'm going to pass on this one because there are a few products that don't personally appeal to me-such is life :) I know this one will do amazingly so fingers crossed this is the first of many, hopefully some with more focus on serums/treatments than luxe cleansers even though they do sound amazing :D Hope you are looking after yourself too xxxx

But I love that you have disclosed the full contents ahead of time, so that people truly can make an informed decision as to whether or not to buy.

And your T-shirt is awesome *g*.

  29. So I have never actually comment on this blog, but I regularly bow down at the temple of Mrs Hirons and now I feel I just gotta speak dammit. Waiting for the reveal of this box has been like waiting for Glastonbury tickets to go on sale. So. Flipping. Tense. Anyway now we know and I love the fact that it's no secret, some people seem disappointed, (well booho it's not the general election results is it)!! So you know what you get and you can make a choice. Sadly for me I can't buy it, *sob*, skin woes mean some of the products aren't right for me, but that's fine, because actually Caroline has inspired me to face the big bad skincare retail world and do a bit of my own research. I've hopped on to cult beauty and built me my own little beauty box up to about the £140 mark. Ok so maybe I get a bit less for my money, but at least it's a whole bunch of products that are good for my whacko skin. So THANKS CAROLINE!! For the inspiration and giving me the nudge I needed. *cheers* xx

  30. I currently use the TH as an under-serum, just after the toner, if that makes sense.
Not sure if this is the right way to use it. TH website advised to use it on top of other products but it is a roll-on and I don't like the idea to have residues of serum or cream on it...
    What do you think Caroline?

    1. I thought it was pretty convenient to have an email notify me when it was available rather than hit refresh on a webpage like a maniac. Also logistically sensible to stagger the incoming web hits. a much nicer experience than Glasto tickets...

    5. Hi S Day. We did it on purpose to stagger the demand. There were 15,000 people on the wait list by Day 2. If everyone that wanted one went to the site when it went on sale it would've crashed and people would've been furious. Waiting lists are a myth when they're done for marketing purposes. This was done for customer ease of use and is very clearly a real list.

  42. Hello Caroline, sorry to be negative but I just wanted you to know I've been up since 8am waiting for this email and whilst waiting I found a cult beauty discount code that I thought I might use. Anyway some people received the email before others which is understandable and they also got to use the voucher code mentioned and got money off the box (I believe the comment stating the code has been removed) but now that I've got the email and tried to use the discount code it is not working. I am all for paying £140 for this amazing box but knowing that someone got it £20 cheaper a few minutes before me and had that advantage has really put me off. If the voucher code is not valid now it should not have been valid for the people who got the email first. Please be fair. I won't be purchasing anymore as it *sorry to sound dramatic* has been a traumatic experience. I hope everyone enjoys the box regardless!

    1. Hi Sadz. I'm sorry - I have nothing to do with the logistics of the process. If people managed to sneak a code in before it was altered - then they were just lucky I guess. Due to the huge saving on this already it was not supposed to be legible for a further discount code. I'm sory it put you off - it's still a huge saving!

      Delete
    2. It's not Caroline that's being unfair here. The discount made all the difference to me too as I've gotta budget, so unfortunately no discount means no box. It's a box of skincare products at the end of the day folks so it's not life or death or the end of the world. :-) If Cult Beauty don't honour the code the best thing to do is take it up with them!

      Delete
    3. I believe I was one to the first to receive the email as I got mine at 11am, and the code didn't work , so I doubt it worked for anyone. The code is just not legible with any other promotions. Hope that will make you feel better.

      Delete
    4. uhmm people who are getting the box for 116.7 (i believe that is the discounted price) are getting it for that much because they don't live in the UK and get it VAT excluded. so 17% less than UK price. I doubt discount code worked for anyone cuz Cult Beauty is really good with this stuff and their discounts only do what they are supposed to do. I order from them regularly and I always pay 17% less than listed price because I'm not in the UK.

      Delete
    5. Hello ladies the code did work for a few people but the comments have been removed since. Someone left a comment at 12.31pm saying they'd purchased it for £119 with the 15% off code. Sorry for sounding so butthurt in my original comment lol! Yes it is only skincare at the end of the day x

      Delete
    6. You're right I saw her comment later. And it's not only skincare but money, and 20 £ is considerable since it's the reason why we all were exited to invest 140 £ in a go, it's because we're saving on regular price, so 20 £ less would have been even better. I guess she was lucky, there's nothing we and Caroline can do at this stage, it's a technical issue from CB's website.

  43. Thank you Caroline for your skincare advice (soooo useful) and your blog, which is always interesting to read! The box has a great value, however, my 'Dream box' from Caroline Hirons would include

    - Emma Hardie (cleanser),
    - Sunday Riley (Good Genes or either cleanser or oil samples),
    - Tata Harper (yes, this Nutrient complex or the cleanser you called the best in the world),
    - possibly something from Su-Man,
    - Pixi Glow toner (recently launched on Cult Beauty),
    - Alpha-H (obvs),
    - Caudalie,
    - some eye cream,
    - Zelens!

    1. That's cuz it's not in the UK. For shipment outside the UK they deduct the VAT, but for some reason display inflated price on the page so anything that you order gets reduced by 17% while the display shows inflation by 17%

    2. I'm from Australia too, and was pleasantly surprised to get it for £116! Can't wait for it to arrive!

  53. Hi Caroline-
I got mine, so excited! I wanted to order my daughter one for her birthday (in Nov). I could only purchase one pre-order, when might I be able to purchase a second one? Sorry if I sound greedy... ;))

    Best,
    Jacqueline

    1. I realize it is too late now, but next time, just make two buyer accounts using two different email addresses, and use send the second box to a friend/family member and collect it from them when it arrives. This is online shopping 101;)

  54. Yay, mine has been shipped! Thanks. Can't wait....

  55. Boyfriend gets home, sees credit card on table (I've been working from home today)

Him: "What did you buy today?"
    Me: "Nothing..."
    Him: "What did you buy?"
Me: "Caroline Hirons did a Beauty Box"
    Him: "Oh. Dear."

  56. Hi Caroline! I joined the wait list as soon as you posted to instagram - have not received an email - from Texas!

  57. Is $182 worth the box?? After converting with the rate of today? Anyone??

    ReplyDelete
  58. Didn't get the email even though I went on the wait list on the first day, disappointed. Oh well, hoping next box has full routine- double cleanse, tone, serum, day and moisture would be fab. And an email to say it's on sale!

  59. Hmmmm, for Christmas or any time, I would definitely buy a box that has many of the following : 1) a hard to acquire acid toner for most people in the world eg small version of P50, 2) some excellent retinol-even for sensitive faces- wots Verso like? 3) a moisturiser with dang great spf 30-50- ? hows that Zelens, 4) some May Lindstrom- sounds amazing but very expensive, 5) something by that Dr Gross fella, 6) some Bio-effects......Thats all for now. Thank you!

  62. I think some people could do well to remember that this is still a blog with one person sharing their candid thoughts and advice as well as someone who reads their reader's comments. From what I understand Caroline, you are still very much a one-woman show. I think it's a sign of success when people start treating your comment section as if they're on reddit/twitter reviewing the latest iphone.

  63. Dear Caroline, you're the sweetest of beings. I could not splurge on the entire box (pssst... I would save for it if I had a heads-up. Next time, right?), but I did use the discount and got Alpha-H and Bio-Essence mask!
    Thank you!! <3

  64. I ordered mine even though I never received a letter (sighed for it twice). I have a question in my order details I see "PRE-ORDER The Cult Beauty Box, Shipping w/c 22nd June" so on the 22 of June it will be shipped yet or what w/c means?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. w/c means week commencing! I think they only had a certain number of boxes 'ready to go' so the pre order gives them time to assemble/source another batch. You can expect the box to be dispatched the week of the 22nd june, and probably delivered that week too, depending on where you are in the world!

    2. Hi Anny, w/c stands for "week commencing" so the box will be shipped sometime during that week :)

  66. My box just arrived and I'm so thankful! Can't wait to try out the products, thanks Caroline for a great mix of products. I really appreciate it!

  67. OMG!! My box has just arrived. ALREADY!!! Just wanted to say a massive well done to you Caroline (and to Cult Beauty) for the efficiency of the whole process - the waiting list and staggered ordering was a great idea and worked like a dream. Judging by past experience (looking at you Selfridges Beauty Box) I fully expected to be stuck in a queue with the website freezing and crashing and getting increasingly frustrated, but no, the whole process was smooth and stress-free. HUGE ROUND OF APPLAUSE. Super-fast delivery too and the box looks fabulously luxe. I hope it was all relatively stress-free for you too and that you'll consider doing another box in the future - once you and our wallets have recovered from this one! Have a lovely day xx

  68. Have to wait over a month for mine ; (((((

  69. Not sure if this would work but it'd be awesome to have a cheaper box with smaller sizes (not sample but say deluxe size) with a code which would let you buy the item at a reduced price if you wanted to. The market IS saturated with beauty boxes but not with decent skincare ones (IMHO). But not too soon please, my box has just arrived and I'm not buying skincare again for a while;)

  70. The selection is ok - however it would of been great to let readers do a poll vote on say 20 products which they would like 5 in a beauty box and the top scored ones were the ones in the box, I appreciate and respect everyone wants different things but I'd rather a full size of omorovizca than the bio essence. It would of been great to have some Sunday Riley which is heavily promoted as being a great brand but expensive, I've ordered the box but I must say it could of been better selected products but then that boils down to brands/costs/number of products and profit and loss.

    1. But I must say - Caroline you are a rich source of knowledge and advice, and since following your blog and YouTube it's been very informative, educational and a pleasure to read and watch, I would though like to see something on the lines of skincare for men, obvs we can use the same products as such but men's skincare seems very much on the back burner when it comes to promotion, reviews etc.

Also a delux sample box would be great, however much I've brought regarding skincare the opportunity to try before you buy the full size is very difficult, obtaining samples is a real chore and the prices of skincare vary, I'm sure those with limited budgets would like to try something at the top end of the market.

I'm slightly disappointed that I have to wait till the end of June for my box, it would of been a great start to the weekend to try the selection
