We interrupt this broadcast...

Lovely readers. As you probably know by now, I'm a 'live' blogger, meaning I very rarely schedule posts. I blog as and when I feel inspired/the urge/the necessity.

This means that in situations like this, I don't have any fresh content waiting to pop up for you.

Myself and my two youngest children were in the above car on Sunday evening when it got into an argument with a rather large coach.
I can't go into details, but we'll be ok. And thankfully I took the brunt, not my babies.

Please bear with while I sleep through the pain of whiplash etc - I'll be back towards the weekend. Unless of course the drugs are REALLY REALLY good and I feel inspired to share. ;)

  16. Goodness that looks like a nasty smash! Glad your all safe, someone rear ended me a couple of years ago a friend told me to put a 500ml bottle of water in the freezer and keep it by my bed so I could roll it on my neck/ forehead when needed, it was an absolute godsend, for some reason heat made it more painful.

  37. OMG, I'm so glad your children are OK, Caroline, and I hope you are managing the pain (that plus your other back pain must be hard).
I myself have suffered three whiplashes plus PTSD , and yes, all three as a result of being rear ended by other drivers. It's a looong process, but please try to get someone like a chiropractor to check if you dislocated something, as from my experience doctors and mere physios dare not tread there.
Please don't don't go back to work too soon. I made that mistake many years ago and paid a dear price...
You can also rub your neck and back with something like rose oil. I found it very soothing at the time.
    Lots of hugs xx

  62. Oh dear. I am very glad all are safe and sound....car accidents always take such a mental toll (at least IMO!). Relax and take care of yourself if you can manage to be still for a good while! Soft tissue injuries take ages to heal, use a tens machine and get gentle massages if you can. Someone trained to break up any scar tissue. But I'm sure you know all this, just stuff that helped me get back on my feet after a bad car crash.
