Le Volume Ultra-Noir de Chanel

Just a quick one for those of you not on Instagram. This mascara from Chanel is BRILLIANT. Properly, utterly brilliant.

Doesn't deposit too much onto the brush, always a pet hate of mine - and doesn't go dry after a week.

LOVE.

£25.00 - available at all Chanel outlets including Boots.com

  1. Caroline would you be able to do a blog post/video/comment/tweet/anything about hyperpigmentation please, particularly on darker skin tones? I know that so many other people would appreciate it too. I follow a lot of the advice that you write here but I feel like it's hard to see much progress with this hyperpigmentation that I have, from both acne and what I think is probably chemically induced from all the things I've tried over the years. Any advice ?Thanks so much

  2. Cool! I've been using Guerlain's Cils D'Enfer, but I'm always looking for a mascara that'll keep my eyelashes UP, instead of weighing them down. Will give this a go :)

  3. Totally agree! I was a bit sceptical because of the price, but this is properly good. It's up there with Too Faced better than sex, but not as dry.

    2. Ok so I've made up mind. It's totally a preference thing-but I love me some drama and Too Faced gives me that in one coat. I'm literally in awe every single time and now.....they're releasing a waterproof one! Yey! ;)

  6. I wanted to love this. The mascara looks wonderful but, for me, would not stay put. After about two hours of wear I ended up with black smearing all around my eyes. I have the Le Volume in brown and navy blue and had no similar issues. I took it back to the store and the assistant gave me the regular black Le Volume formula instead and I got the impression I was not the first person to have the problem. I think this is probably not for people with slightly oily lids and long lashes that hit them.

    1. Thanks for sharing I was going to order it. I have the same problem, well it's not such a problem to have long lashes, however it is a pain. Especially after I've applied my eye shadow perfectly then end up with mascara all over my eyelids. My lids also have a habit of getting oily too.
