New Video! What's New/What I'm currently LOVING!

Hello!!!! So as I had everything set up for after the Bobbi video, I thought I'd take advantage and film a video I'd been planning for a while - a mixture of current faves and what's new?.

Hope you like. Product listing is in the description box under the video. :)

  1. great video! off to give this a thumbs up but before then, i totally know what you mean about the sores on your scalp. Philip Kingsley Stimulating Scalp Mask has really helped me when they flare up :)

  6. I remember that shampoo. It was called Gee your hair smells terrific. Still available at a few places. Don't want to link here, but its an easy find with Google.

  7. Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific! Jergens made it, discontinued in the 80s. I think you can still find it a few places but seems to be that it really dried your hair out. Vermont Country Store online might sell it.

  8. Another great video! Thank you Caroline. When will you be talking retinols and moisturisers? It would be great if you could do your top 10's again.

  9. "Rod Stewart hair" made me laugh and almost spill my tea... Loving your current momentum with videos (especially your vlogs, which are awesome). It is very much appreciated that you take the time to do them. Bethany x

  10. Seriously, a new video from you makes me so happy. You're so much more engaging than any of the "Loose Women" or similar types.

My Cult Beauty Box made its way to NYC and I've been happily trying everything out. The Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cleanser reminds me very much of Tata Harper Refreshing Cleanser - even the (albeit less strong) scent. Love having a more affordable version. I also learned the hard way not to use the Skin Owl eye gel after having used P50. But everything is fantastic and I hope you continue to find more and more success in this world - you're clearly doing what you were put here to do, being a mother and saving everyone's faces!

  11. Loving all the videos at the moment especially the vlog that was a great idea , it gives us a real insight as to how busy you are , as I am sure there are people out there ( not blog readers of course !) who think all you must do all day is sit around testing out the latest posh serum of the week and how hard can that be when the reality is oh so very different and really you need to be wearing your knickers on the outside Wonder Woman style !

So double thanks from me for the time you take to give us all the fab advice you do xx

  13. I'm loving all of the videos -- keep going! That shampoo was called "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific" and you can still sometimes find it on Amazon and eBay. It's also widely available in the Philippines, should you have occasion to travel there. I bought the Bobbi Brown concealer/corrector based on what it did for you. I was not disappointed!

  14. Thanks so much---loving the videos! I loved your makeup and Hannah's as well. Do you happen to know if she was wearing the same makeup as you? I thought I caught that the blush and lipstick were the same.

  16. Hi Caroline!
Sorry to bother you, but just wanted to ask, how do the Glow Peel Pads compare to the First Aid Beauty ones?
Thanks and have a nice day!

  20. Hi Caroline! I just went for a facial recently and had to share my experience. No one else I know would really understand my rant! I live in a small town in Canada & I don't frequently go for facials, but I went today for a treat after what I knew would be a rough week. Anyway, before the facial started, the aesthetician asked what my skin type was (I'm on the oily side) and what kind of skincare I'm currently using, and what results I wanted to see after today. Well I started going into products I use (Nude Skincare Omega Cleansing Jelly, Body Shop Camomile Oil cleanser [which really doesn't chalk up against the Clinique TTDO cleansing balm IMO], Clarins Toning Exfoliating toner, Alpha H liquid gold, a Bobbi Brown eye cream, Sunday Riley Juno & Good Genes, Hydraluron, and Origins revitazing day cream & night-a-mins night cream, Aveda Intensive Hydrating mask - to name a few currently being used). She proceeded to tell me how I shouldn't be using so many oils having oily skin, and I said I tried to stay away from foamy cleansers and she said those are the only ones I should only be using. She then proceeded to go on about my skin's pH balance, and how foamy cleansers would help it regulate itself. She also told me the amount of products I use (I didn't get into the other dozen...) tell her that I'm "not happy or satisfied with anything" and how everything I'm using is absolute junk!... There were a lot of "chemicals", "parabens" and "toxins" being thrown around... She used a steamer to "open my pores"... She also asked why I wasn't using a manual exfoliant but I spoke about using acid toners (she hadn't heard of acid toning). I was in awe! My skin has almost never been better, other than a few hormonal and stress spots I have at the moment I have pretty clear skin. At one point she even said I have good skin! She also used a lance to get out 3-4 milia, but now I have sore, scabbing areas around the outer tops of my cheeks. One of the scabbing areas is about half the width of my pinky fingernail... The products she has are all a particular brand I won't name here, which I'll likely look into for my own research out of curiosity. I can only take everything she said with a grain of salt. You have no idea how many compliments I get on my "radiant" skin from friends since changing to your double cleanse, double tone, serum, moisturizer etc. regimen about a year and a half ago. I can't thank you enough! She also told me that I should be drinking more water, and my husband thought that was terrible advice since he is actually worried about the copious amount of water I ingest! The reason I had gone for a facial today, was because last Monday marked the 2 year anniversary since my dad passed away from cancer at 56 years old. After finding this out, the aesthetician proceeded with rant about how she's on a quest to end cancer by ensuring less use of parabens, SLS, plastics... I really couldn't believe how it turned out. Anyway, I was thinking of you a lot! And there's no way I'm going back to foamy cleansers and abandoning oils :)

    1. Oh My God. I die. As the kids say.
Do you mind if I use your comment as a post for 'how not to' talk to clients during a facial?!??
I'm so sorry. What a moron.

    3. I had an elemis facial the other day, which was ...ok but when the facialist out my mask on, she gave me the worst scalp massage. It felt like she was just pressing her thumbs down into my scalp! :(

  21. I can't wait to try the pixi cleansing balm! Balms are my favourite type of cleansers, anyone else?

  22. Fun video.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on all these new "essences" products coming out. I'm interested if you think there ok- you know the ones applied after cleansing before serum m seems to be the current craze!
