Pestle & Mortar Liberty Event

Hello loveliest of readers! I have two meet'n'greet/appearances left for this year. Details on the December one are to follow in due course, but the first one is next Tuesday at Liberty where I will be hanging out on the shop floor causing mayhem with Sonia from Pestle & Mortar.

You may have seen the P&M review here on the blog last week. I liked it so much I'm helping Sonia spread the word.

Come to Liberty between 4pm and 7pm on Tuesday 10th November and talk about all things beauty with Sonia and I.

No ticket is required, but obviously tea is always welcome. ;)

Hope to see you there!

Pestle & Mortar are sponsoring this event. (Obvs.)

  1. Oh my! Lucky those who are in London for this fab opportunity to meet n' great the lovely, all-inspiring Mrs Hirons!

I’ll keep my fingers crossed there will be a similar opportunity first weekend of March (next year) as the yearly ‘weekend with the girls’ is already booked!  I’ve already started planning where to go and what to do. And skincare will be on the agenda now that I’ve discovered the world, and word, of mrs Hirons. Some can be ordered to Sweden, but some not, so I guess it’s going to be a bit of a splurge…

And now a little question for the lovely lady of the blog:
Have you tried the Transderma serums? It’s a Swedish brand, and it’s been praised by quite a few here but I was curious to know if you had tried it and if that would be something you would recommend.

Thank you for an inspiring, informative and entertaining blog/Instagram/youtube!
    Best of wishes from Sweden.

I'm honestly sure I'll like it,,and now with winter coming (Ha) it will be excellent.

  5. I also ordered after your review. I used it for the first time Tuesday night and I swear my skin looked better the next day. Just finished another serup that retails for £85 and I never got these results.

  6. I would like to know (sincerely) are you paid for these appearances? If so should that not be made clear to readers that this is a sponsored post?

    1. Of course I am being paid. I would've thought that totally obvious. I am not paid to blog about the event. I could've left it up to Liberty to do their mailout and the brand to talk about it across their social media channels, but my readers like to be made aware of these events so obviously I am going to tell them if I'm doing an appearance. As far as the ASA goes, the brand have no influence or contract re the blog so it is not 'sponsored'. And to be crystal clear, my post last week on the brand was not sponsored. Applepie I am unsure why you continue to read my blog. All of your recent comments have been of this nature, or borderline rude. To the point that I haven't published some of them. I'm clearly not making you happy, so why do you continue to check in and try and 'check' me? Just being sincere. And I published this comment to make sure there is no room for confusion. My disclaimers are crystal clear, both on their own page up at the top and over there ---> in the sidebar.

    2. Hi Caroline,
I think one of the reasons you have so many readers/ followers/ is that your honesty and integrity are so clearly obvious. I hope you're not bothered about this one person!
Oh and thank you for making my face presentable!

  7. Hi Caroline, I've mentioned on previous comments that I'm from Liverpool. I was thinking of coming down to London on Tuesday to your meet n greet but just wondered if it would be purely based on Pestle & Mortar products? I only ask as I have extremely dehydrated, post inflammatory pigmentation (wouldn't say dry but definitely not a trace of oil) and I'm desperate for some advice on my next step. I'm terrified of taking a step wrong as I've done really well to get rid of the acne (with the help of triacneal). Just wondered if it was worth the expense or should I wait for a none brand specific event? Thanks xxx

  8. Hi Caroline,

I'm 21 years old and I have combination skin which tends to get more greasy/oily early evenings (?) with the odd spot at TOM.

While the rest of my skincare generally works for me I cannot find a moisturiser that doesn't break me out or make me oily/greasy mid-day or when I wake up! I do really like Hydraluron Jelly moisturiser but I'm not sure when is best to use it (am/pm), and looking for an alternative moisturiser for the other (am/pm). Below is my current skincare, any alterations you recommend would be fab!

    Morning:

    - Good Things Stay Clear Anti-Blemish cleanser
    (http://www.boots.com/en/Good-Things-Stay-Clear-Purifying-Cleanser-150ml_1102672/)

    - Pixi Glow Tonic
(Improved my skin massively - so thank you!)

    - La Roche Posay Serozinc

    - Simple Eye Roll-On
(Calms down the puffiness I get when I wake up)

    Evening:

    - Soap and Glory Ultimeit cleanser
(When I have no make-up on)

    - Pixi Glow Tonic

    - La Roche Posay Serozinc

    - Simple Eye Roll-On

    - Hydraluron Serum

    Thanks,

    Jennifer
