Cult Beauty Box Update

Hi Everyone.

OK:

Firstly, a huge thank you to all of you who bought the Box yesterday. The response was unprecedented and very much appreciated. I really hope you love them.

Secondly, as I said on social media yesterday, I can only apologise to those of you that missed out and were very vocally disappointed.

Here's some facts:
  • We used the same process that we have used with the previous boxes.
  • Emails had to be sent out in groups or the site would have crashed. I don't see that changing in the future, but that will be decided by logistics and IT people, not me.
  • There was roughly the same amount of people on the previous wait list for box 2 as there was for this box.
  • Box 2 took 3 days to sell, this one took roughly 3 hours.
  • Everyone - everyone was sent an email - if you did not receive one, check your junk mail and your filters. A lot of people that had issues were on gmail if that helps...
  • The last email, completing the full wait list, was sent out half an hour before the box sold out.
  • Launching between 12pm and 1pm was my suggestion due to feedback from people living in Australia, Europe and the USA after the last two boxes. It seemed the fairest time to try and give everyone access.
  • We had a nine hour window for waitlist people to make their sale before it was supposed to go on general sale at 9pm.
  • We took the step of closing this wait list early to try and prevent disappointment.
  • The wait list gave early presale access, it was not a guarantee of a box, in the same way that it was not an obligation to buy.
  • The boxes were always, always going to be Limited Edition. I even used the term 'once they're gone, they're gone'.
If you've ever tried to order anything from a H&M Limited Collection or gig tickets at 9am on a Friday, you will know that no order system is perfect.

Having said that, we are trying to get more boxes. 'Trying' being the operative word. You have to know that this is not just down to myself and Cult Beauty. There are 6 brands involved. That means 6 products, 6 boxes, 6 supply chains, 6 stockholdings, 6 massive discounts, and that's before the actual box itself. All of this in the busiest retail period of the year. It's a huge ask and one that frankly, I'm very grateful to the brands and Cult Beauty for even considering.

We are hopeful that we can make more boxes, I cannot promise anything but we have all our ducks except one lined up. If that duck is available, we are a GO for more boxes. If not, then you will just have to take my word for it that we tried our hardest.

IF we are able to obtain more boxes, they will not go on general sale. Everyone on the wait list will be sent a new link to a new private page to get your box. There is no need to contact anyone, there is nowhere to sign up. IF we get the boxes and you signed up for the waitlist, we will be in touch. If you bought one, you won't receive an email offering you a second one.
I imagine that even if we make more, there will still be disappointed people. I don't know what to tell you, we can't make an infinite amount of boxes at nearly 50% off. That's why they are Limited Edition.

I hope to have a confirmation for you on Monday.

And again, a massive thank you to those of you sending support yesterday when both myself and Cult Beauty were under a barrage of what can only be described as 'aggressive complaints'. I do really understand that some of you were seriously disappointed and had done everything in your power to obtain a box. I get it. WE get it.

And the biggest thanks to the team at Cult Beauty - especially the Customer Service team who have literally been under fire since launch.

  1. I can only say thank you to both yourself and Cult Beauty for even trying and a reminder to everyone else that it's a privledge, not a right, and it's only stuff.

    Thanks for the update Caroline!

    1. I couldn't put it better, I was disgusted when I saw the backlash. When someone does something great to then moan at, or worse, abuse them is out of order and the grace with which it was replied to was monumental. Thank you Caroline and Cult Beauty. X

    2. Hear, hear Noelle. I am shocked and appalled at the response that Cult Beauty and Caroline have received. They have provided an amazing opportunity, and as a former beauty exec, I cxan only imagine the behind the scenes finangling that it would take to put something like this together. And at this time of the year, which is the beauty industry's busiest season, by far! Yes, I missed out as well, but that is life! I can only hope that Caroline and Cult Beauty are not turned off by the dreadful people out there, and will put together another one, that I will on the list for, with my fingers and toes crossed!!

    3. So well put Noelle, my thoughts exactly. Huge thank you to Caroline & Cult Beauty for all your hard work. Merry Christmas! X

    4. Completely agree with all of the above! I did miss my email, but am going to order some items individually after the holidays. As a former retail manager and sales manager who does most of her work via email, I know how hard this season can be on the folks working to make it happen. There is no room here for that nonsense. Huge thanks to Cult Beauty & Caroline. Please thank your staff. Can't wait for the next box!! Merry Christmas!

  2. I can understand being disappointed at not getting one's way. I cannot fathom lashing out over it. Nobody was wronged here.

I would highly recommend going to ifttt.com and setting up a 'recipe' that will send you a text when an email comes in from Cult Beauty. That is what I have done for the last two boxes, so I can immediately drop everything and purchase a box, without having to be stuck watching my inbox. I'm in NYC, so with the time difference, I knew I was likely to be mid-commute if this one went out at a similar time to box two. (In the end, I was two seconds from getting on a train when I got the text. I delayed my commute to stand on the platform and place my order. When needs must etc.)

Caroline and Cult Beauty, huge kudos to you for trying to get another run of boxes together. Frankly, I think you're going far above and beyond what's called for here. Some of the complaints piled on you constitute outright abuse. Much of the rest is just plain lacking in perspective. People in floods of tears over a box of skincare, with what's going on in our world?

  3. I was lucky enough to get a box yesterday, working in IT communications I can completely understand why you followed the process you had to in order to prevent the site from crashing from all the traffic and no one being able to purchase anything from Cult beauty at all. Understand the disappointment from people, but not some of the comments that were left which seemed a little extreme. Just want to say thank you to yourself Caroline for your awesome advice that has completely transformed my skin, as well as a massive thank you to Cult beauty and all the brands who have provided their products to go into the box at the discount offered. You are all properly amazing! Can't wait to try the products when they get delivered. Happy weekend & happy Christmas everyone!!! Xx

  4. Thank you for a great post. Thank you for explaining how this works. And especially thank you for trying to make more boxes. It's an incredible effort to do at any time. To do it at this time of year is monumental.

To people who try to get a box if all the ducks are lined up -- thank you in advance for understanding the huge amount of work it takes to make this happen, for being patient and understanding that it takes time and no, you might not have this for Christmas, and for remembering that there are real people behind all of this work and for treating them with respect.

  5. First I would like to say thank you to you Caroline, Alexa and Cult Beauty for the opportunity to purchase this box. I started following you ever since I saw you on the itsjudyslife vlog earlier this year and I've been hooked ever since. I'm not a makeup person but I know that I had been neglecting my skin for far too long and thought let me see what she (you) is doing because she has gorgeous skin. I missed out on the first box, but I signed up for the second. I was able to purchase it and I love love love the items. I have received many compliments on how great my skin looks, and I must thank you for that. I have since then repurchased some of those items so I can continue to use them in my daily cleansing and moisturizing regimen. Months pass and then I hear of another box coming out. I signed up on the waiting list and I had originally decided that wasn't going to get it when I saw the price, but then changed my mind and gifted it to myself for my birthday later in the month. I received my email yesterday and fortunately was able to purchase. Now if I never received the email or I was too late and it was sold out, my response to myself would have been oh well...maybe next time....it's just skin care items...I really like what I already have...my wallet can breathe a sigh of relief :p. From what you had posted, it was clear to me that this was a limited stock and that you had many people sign up on the waiting list. The waiting list was not a guarantee that there would still be stock available.

The responses that I have seen some people post yesterday were frankly appalling. Serious “first world problems” whining and general bitchiness for no reason. I understand disappointment, but come on people it ain’t that serious. I made online purchases on black Friday and some sites were having some IT issues (I’m not saying that that was the case for cult beauty). Did I get all upset and freak out? Nope. If they were able to resolve it then I would buy, if not, oh well I just won’t get those items. Not worth getting my panties in bunch over.

I think it is wonderful that you will try to make more boxes available, and if it doesn’t come through the effort is greatly appreciated.

Cheers & All the Best 

  8. I didn't get a box, because I was too slow!
And I'll be thrilled if I do manage to get one! I just wanted to say, I think that it is fabulous that you (and cult) are scrambling around trying to get more put together, and it's great that the brands are happy to support if they can! I was annoyed by some of the comments I saw yesterday, just downright rude in some cases! So thank you for trying, even though some of those people don't deserve to get a box after the way they wrote comments yesterday!

  9. Thanks, for everything. The free advice, the videos, the vlogs, the laughs, the honesty, the calling of the spade a spade. And the box. I got one this time, lucky. Probably one off due to spending limits but I got one. As you said, they are limited. Once more, thanks and thanks to Cult Beauty and the brands. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ’‹

  12. Thanks so much for trying to get us more boxes!!!! I really do appreciate it, especially since this is the busiest time of year for retail. Fingers crossed you are able to get more!!!!

  13. spot. on. you can only do so much, you guys. i'm feeling very lucky to have managed to get one and i can't thank you and Cult Beauty enough for putting this together and for all that your blog has done for me these last few months.

  14. Well, goodness me! Read this post (lurk the blog RELIGIOUSLY but have never actually posted before) and couldn't believe what Caroline had been forced to write, and couldn't fathom why. So I read the comments on the last Cult Beauty Box post and all became clear. JAYSUS. Such entitlement-neither Caroline or anyone else has the magical ability to faultlessly predict supply vs demand for such a good-value, limited offer. Caroline, i've been reading your blog since July and have since then spent a fortune on skincare -by choice. I've completely changed the way I care for my skin and the initial orgy of spending has now distilled into repeat purchases of products that are worth it because, for me, they've made a huge positive difference to how my skin looks and feels (Hydraluron! Moisture Surge! Camomile cleansing butter!) Ain't no lack of super-spendy limited edition box gonna take that away from me. And there are more important things happening in the world right now than bitching over missing out. Love you, love your blog, thanks for the never-ending good sense and humour, please keep doing what you're doing!xxxx

  15. Frankly I wouldn't have blamed you or Cult Beauty for discontinuing the boxes altogether after some of the breathtakingly awful comments leveled at you yesterday. That you are making an attempt to secure additional boxes is a testament to your professionalism and your dedication to your readers and customers. Have never admired and respected you more! xo

    1. I was thinking the same thing. Caroline is a much better person than me because my response to those abusive comments would have been "well fine then, no more discounts and boxes for you lot!" I was so disappointed in how people reacted over some discounted skincare selling out.

    2. So well said! I completely agree. I was aghast at some of the nasty and vitriolic comments posted yesterday.

    3. So well said, there is no need for the ridiculous comments at Cult Beauty and Caroline, they both did an amazing job in putting together such a great box at a great price. I hope there will be future boxes. :)

  16. I was super bummed to miss out on the box, but it happens! This was an amazing box, no surprise at all that people jumped on it right away. We all knew the demand was going to be high. You and Cult Beauty have been doing a fantastic job, and if more boxes are able to be created, then wonderful. If not, I still got exposed to some new brands to check out. I hope you all have a fantastic holiday!

  17. I was appalled at the way people responded on social media. You and Cult Beauty do such a wonderful job putting together this wonderful offer. I was extremely lucky to get box 3 but I know that with box 2 I was on the waiting list and at the last minute decided against it was financially too tight that month. As it was so near Christmas maybe people were more inclined to treat themselves this time. I certainly was and the products on offer were just spot on. Thank you Caroline, and Cult Beauty

  18. A million billion 'thank you's to you, Alexia and the Cult Beauty team.

Frankly, we are all privileged to be able you read your blog, watch your videos and contemplate buying your recommendations. I really hope you and the CB team didn't take the backlash to heart. Social media makes it too simple to over-react rather than have time to think.

I still don't know if I have a box. 'Santa' took over my email and account.
And I'm still quite excited to know if I do have one, or alternatively some other lovely treats you have recommended over the past year. Either way, I know I'll have my 'soupçon of Tata' and l'm a really really lucky girl.

(And I'm glad my previous Instagram comment made you chuckle. You made me spit my tea out on Sunday morning, as I watched the reveal video. You made my day! I hope you have lots more happiness and laughter)

    Xx

  19. Thank you Caroline!! For setting this opportunity up in the 1st place, weather additional boxes go on sale or not Thank you for all you do. I was one of the unlucky ones that put my name on the wait list the 1st day you could sign up. I received the email its available email at something like 7:45am EST (so about about 1ish in the UK). I thought I would have a little time since the 2nd box didn't immediately sell out but alas I now know I shouldn't have waited.

The responses to the 3rd box selling so quickly were appalling. We may use the statement jokingly but truly get over your "first world problem". It was limited addition! Get over it and grow up.

  20. I secured a box yesterday. I consider myself hugely fortunate firstly to be able to indulge myself in what are luxury items and secondly that you and Cult Beauty worked so hard to put this offer together in the first place. Thank you so much.
I am very impressed by your response today. It's calm and very well written and I suspect you have worked flat out to do this. This is no mean feat in the face of some of the abuse that popped up yesterday. Totally unjustified. People need to get over their sense of entitlement. There are more important things in the world.
Yesterday I just admired your advice and knowledge, today I admire the way you've handled this as a person.
You certainly have my respect . Once again thanks Caroline.

  21. Goodness me people are idiots, this is a commercial enterprise in a capitalist society. This is not a public sector government handout, there is not right to have or buy anything. And that people feel the need to act outraged, or claim depression over not managing to buy one! Perhaps those people should think about their priorities a little more, yes the box was amazing and brilliant value, but let's all calm down and stop being so selfish. I think you have the patience of a saint that you can even sit down and justify yourself like this, it just shouldn't be necessary!

I literally had my telephone nearby on high alert for incoming mail and as soon as I got the email I was lucky enough that I was waiting for a color to process on my client so within seconds I was putting my order through. I got my mail about 1,5 hours in and was able to snag this amazing deal of the Mrs H Dream box <3 And a HUGE thank you to the Cult Beauty team ! I am sorry for those who missed out of this box, but there was nowhere promising that EVERYONE that entered the wishlist would get to buy one. We all got the chance to buy one box and not all of us did. You and Cult Beauty did nothing wrong, Thank you so much for all the hard work Mrs H <3 Big Hugs Carola

  24. Wow, I was in an exam all day yesterday so not a hope in heck of getting one, but such is life. To all the people spouting vitriol, you can rub the most amazing products in your face but you will never look lovely if you are so hateful.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'll put my hand up and say I did moan yesterday. It was frustrating something selling out whilst I was at work, before I had any chance to even get a sniff of a box (not everyone can get online at work, nor chose when they have a lunch break). Also, I seen the utter furor when gig tickets sell out in minute (seriously, the stuff on here is tame by comparison!) and so guessed there would be a back lash.

    However.

    1. I'd got a feeling the timing was a deliberate bias for a different time zone. I said as much. Realistically, you have to be fair, to share out the opportunities - sucks if you don't live in that time zone, but sucks even more if it always only suits one time zone.....

    2. If it sells out, it sells out. Cult Beauty is a business, the companies supplying the stuff are businesses. They don't want to p*ss of people, it's not personal. They want to make money, they need to make money. Some of the utter vitriol spewed was inappropriate and frankly ridiculous because....

    3. REALLY...these things are *wants* not *needs*. I wanted a box, but if I'm truly honest, I couldn't afford it...I'd probably have damaged a credit card IF I bought it (and if I'm staying honest, I probably couldn't justify spending the money). So maybe the darned thing selling out has done a few people a favour, who, like me, would have acquired an extra bit of unnecessary debt at a time of year awash with enough of the stuff.

Finally, I just want to say. I'm sorry for my part in the hoo ha about it all selling out. I didn't mean my post to sound as grumpy as it did and I'm far too old to act like a brat! To Caroline (who I doubt reads this stuff) please don't let it put you off and I think you are going over and above trying to get more boxes.....off to hide credit card, just in case ;-)

    1. In all fairness, I thought the timing was very considerate to those of us in different time zones.

    2. I'm curious which time zone was favored? I'm in the U.S. And my email came through at 4am (just saying). Either way, either you get lucky or you don't - it's a privilege not an entitlement to order one of these special boxes :)

  26. Well said, Caroline (as always...) I find the greediness and entitlement of some people astounding. Talk about first world problems!

  27. Would just like to second the comments above. I am a relative newbie to CHs blog/vlog but my skincare regime has been transformed thanks to all her advice. Love the straight talking humorous style and the fact we have easy access to her wealth of knowledge and experience. Down side is I've spent a small fortune but hey ho.
Caroline congratulations, feel proud and thanks for all the great work.

  28. People are craaaazy if they see not getting a box (as wonderful as it was) as "devastating, heartbreaking & would spur them never to order from Cult again" seriously people let's get some perspective up in here! Thank you Caroline and CB for trying to organise some more, especially as most people were damn rude and self entitled. Let's all remember it's Christmas soon and we are lucky for everything we've got, not unlucky for the things we haven't.
    Good work Hirons xx

  29. Like others, I just missed out. But that's life. You can't have everything you want and sometimes despite your (and others) best efforts, it just doesn't work out. I just hope that all of the angry/upset/spiteful adults who missed out on the box aren't raising their children to think that the same behaviour is okay. Enough with this entitlement. Be grateful, not entitled. It's just material possessions (yes, AMAZING products - thanks Caroline and Cult Beauty), but really, just material possessions and skin care as a matter of fact. It's not the end of the world and I'm sure you'll all have a lovely Christmas regardless of whether the box is sitting or not under your Christmas tree. Caroline, what I love about your boxes (and this one the most in particular) is that you include top products from many brands that would normally not sell their products together. I never use all products from the same brand and love to mix and match. Not only did you curate an amazing box, but it was also half price! That's amazing and we all expected this one to sell out quickly. A big congratulations to you and the Cult Beauty team!! Thank you for the opportunity. Sending you all lots of love and big hugs over the Christmas season! Subscribers will get over it. It really is not the end of the world xx

  30. Thank you. I was astonished at some of the ridiculousness yesterday. So many people saying they "missed out" on box 2 too when I knew it took a while to sell through because I got it a day after it had gone live.

You don't need this criticism in the run up to Christmas. Particularly after your post about Give and Makeup. Seriously people.

Anyway. I think you are doing a marvellous job (as ever) and trying to get lined up for a second run is above and beyond frankly so yeay you!

    Keep strong.

I dont think this is your fault in any way- the hard work you put in creating such a thoughtful selection, paired with the amazing discount you (and cult beauty) organised meant that it was going to sell fast. Thank you for being such a great advocate for your readers. And im sorry you received awful comments yesterday. nothing could justify such remarks. Im shocked and appalled. Chin up, ignore, make tea and keep being lovely

  32. On the one hand it's a shame that you have to write this. It's like the people who were complaining had never signed up for ticket pre-sales or stood in a queue to get something limited edition before.

HOWEVER, what isn't a shame is that you sold out in 3 HOURS. Can we take a moment please? Because moaners shouldn't stop you from feeling AMAZING. And it's all down to
how much you've helped people with your blog. So you should feel bloody proud missus.

Now go celebrate by getting the Dettol out and scrubbing the night away...

  35. I first came to this blog earlier this year (I can't even remember when! A time without Mrs. Hirons? I just can't fathom it) and I was hoping to find a few tips for my skin - which I'd never been happy with. You have helped me immensely and I want to thank you for that, I like what I see in the mirror and it's all down to you. But here's the thing, you haven't just taught me about skincare - I am inspired by ever blog post/vlog/youtube video you post. You've taught me to be confident, and that there isn't anything more beautiful than an honest, intelligent woman. This post in particular is a lesson in incredible grace, and it's very much appreciated. If I ever need a pep talk I grab some tea and settle down to watch your Sali Hughes 'in the bathroom with' video - is that really sad to admit?! The things you say really speak to me though and are often exactly what I need to hear. Thank you so much for all you do for us, I am so grateful.

p.s I didn't get a Cult Beauty box yesterday, I took my eye off my e-mails at the wrong time. Instead I've decided to spend the money on my own 'box of dreams' - a few products that I might have otherwise thought too expensive but ones I've been coveting for quite some time and I'm really excited about it! No hard feelings at all (obviously!), the fact that the box was even on offer was amazing so thanks to you, Cult Beauty and the brands involved for all your hard work.

  36. oh gosh, maybe i shouldn't have but i just saw exactly what you had to endure yesterday. please, please don't let that ruin what was an amazing and generous concept from you and Cult Beauty. for some of us skincare is much more about than what is on the surface. i'm a working mum of two who is also the main carer for my kids cos the mister works crazy hours. last year i really lost sight of myself trying to keep this manic routine going. this year i was determined to take better care of myself to get myself back on track, i've only found your blog in the last few months and the difference that your cheat sheets, instagrams, tweets and vlogs have made has been amazing. it's like checking in with a good friend for a good laugh, a cuppa and a gentle reminder that i'm worth the bother. box or no box i can't imagine not taking better care of my skin since i found your blog xxx

I can avoid reading the posts but feel sad to even think about them and the hurt they have caused. Amazing sell out which proves how many of us follow Caroline's advice for our skincare. Thank you so much

I wish I could give you and all the wonderful ladies at Cult Beauty a big hug! No one deserves to be treated the way you guys have been for the last few days. Thanks so much for everything you do!

  47. Things worthy of an angry rant- children and innocent people killed in their place of study or work. Things not worthy of an angry rant- missing out on a good deal on skincare products. Check your self peeps and let's put focus on what really matters. ( don't get me wrong Caroline, skincare is my life!!!)

  48. Even though I too, missed out, I am sorry to hear people have been rude. As ever, ignore the idiots and keep doing what you do so well; providing invaluable advice with good humour and great sense.

  49. I didn't manage to get the box because it was past midnight and the boxes were sold out when I woke up to check my email. I just went "Oh darn!" and be done with it, until I saw all those big hoo ha on Instagram. I think everything's already being said in the comments above, so I don't want to add to the voices to make others feel bad. Let's just move on from here, be the adults that we are, and erm, maybe apologize if you were one of those who lashed out at people? I think that's a good start.

  50. I was just checking to see if there was a new post up when I saw this. WOW! I myself didn't put my name on the wait list nor order a box but wow...just wow....hugs and high fives to you, Mrs. Hirons and the staff at Cult Beauty because I can just imagine some of the stuff that was said by some people. I work in customer service so I. Get. It. I understand there would be disappointment if you could not get your hands on one of these beauties, I do. But having the equivalent of a 2 yr olds tantrum? That is unacceptable. IT'S. JUST. STUFF. Your life literally does not depend on it. You CANNOT feed yourself with this stuff. You could try, but you'd end up in hospital. You CANNOT cloth yourself with this stuff. You could try, but you'd be arrested for public indecency. You CANNOT pay your bills with this stuff. Again, you could try but in all probability you'll end up with creditors looking for you. So settle the eff down. It boggles the mind that there are people who think it's OK treat others like dirt because they don't get their way or what they want. Like it will change things. Acting like a twat is not OK. Be an adult, check yourself and have some respect.

  51. This was such an amazing box I'm not surprised it sold out so quickly!
I will definitely try and purchase this if there is a new release.
I did see some comments on IG about the whole process took around 3 months to get the box built and organised, I would definitely be interested in the future paying a deposit to secure a box and the remainder prior to shipping, as CB said they have to be careful with not being stuck with excess stock if the boxes where not all ordered.

  52. Yes, I was sad I didn't get a box. But, it wasn't your fault or Cult Beauty' s fault that I was in the hospital. Such is life. It wasn't meant to be. I'm so sorry people have been rude. I do think it's wonderful that you're trying to get more boxes. I hope it works out. If not, that's life!

  53. Caroline, I love you! I was beyond pissed (mad, not drunk :) ) that people responded the way they did. I understand being annoyed at missing out. I missed the first two boxes due to lack of funds. I received my email in the US via gmail before 10am EST, and was lucky enough to get this box. I just want to tell you despite the trolls charging tolls, your work has transformed my face. My self esteem has soared, my cystic acne is gone after 10 years and the scars both on my face and my soul are healing. Thank you of doing that pixiwoo video in 2012 where I first heard of you, and for every post, video, tweet, review and Instagram pic since. We can't thank you enough. Deidra

  54. All I can say is thank you and Cult Beauty for going to such extraordinary lengths to put these amazing boxes together. It speaks volumes of how well respected you are in the beauty industry that you are able to bring together these excellent products from so many companies at such a discount. I missd out on the first box but was able to get one of the second go around. I signed up for the wait list this time, but after the complete reveal I realized I already have four of the six items offered, so decided not to purchase the box this time.
Once again, thank you for your awesomeness! I love your energy, directness and the advice you dispense on this blog. Wishing you and your family the happiest Christmas.

  55. @carolinehirons can you please help me with a skincare question I have read and searched all over but I can't seem to find the info anywhere. I finished my third round of chemo a few months ago and assumed my skin would start coming back to life. Instead it decided to crazy and break out, super dry and dehydrated, red as can be an my pores are huge. I am OCD when it comes to skincare and follow your regimen and never had a problem until now. I have always had sensitive skin that was more on the dry side but I am 35 and I feel like I am going through puberty again. I am on a lot of medication that I imagine might be the problem but do you have any recommendations for me. After 3 rounds I should get a prize of perfect skin for the rest of my life not teenager with problematic skin.

  56. I live in Australia and purposely tried to find things to do to keep my eyes open on Thursday night. I was lucky my email came thru around midnight (when I was dozing but luckily heard the alert!) and I managed to get one. I actually think the release time was pretty fair to all parts of the world. Some had to stay up a little late, some up a little early, or in the UK/Europe around midday, so as fair as can be expected with a worldwide release.
I've been buying from Cult Beauty for a long while and I can't fault their service. I recall getting sent the wrong product from a brand (Tata) and the team at Cult B expressing me out the correct one to Australia and letting me keep the incorrect one. I've been a loyal customer ever since, and have had zero issues with them.
That's great news of a possibility of a rerelease for people who missed out. I do wonder though, those who vowed never to buy from Cult again, if they will take up the box offer? Hehe.

  57. To Caroline and all at CB... I think the majority of readers and customers are truly grateful for the hard work and effort that goes into producing these beautiful boxes. Also the generosity from the brands with pricing. I missed the first two, but purchased some items to try after reading feedback, I was lucky enough to get this box, but if I hadn't I know I would have been gutted but I wouldn't have raged against you or CB... There were no promises made or broken.. It's ridiculous and unfair. High five to you all for trying to get more and I hope you get some apologies for aggressive comments after this post, please don't let this put you off doing future boxes... I think it's fair to say for most of us your efforts are much appreciated

  58. I think some more boxes for those on the waitlist that missed out is a spectacular response! You couldn't ask for more than that. Good luck with the ducks. xx

  59. I'm envious of the people who made such a fuss over a bargain/limited/whatever box they didn't get. I honestly want to live in their world for a while and stop worrying for people being murdered in music concerts and lifeless bodies of immigrants being washed ashore everyday the coasts of Greece where I live.

  60. Huge thanks to you,CB and all the ducks! πŸ˜‰ for trying
    Fingers crossed

  61. Caroline I was appalled at some of the responses you got. I only hope this does not put you off doing more boxes. You rock xx

  62. Wow, it's amazing you (meaning all involved) trying to give us another shot.
yes, I was disappointed (but only in the way of "damn it, I was late, such a bad luck) but only because this is the most freakin' amazing box ever (and ever and ever) .-).
So you did such an amazing job with this one.

  63. PS: if we are getting another shot, please, please and the weekend, no working day :-)))))

  64. I think seeing so many people so mad that they couldnt spend £200 in one go in skincare says a lot about the world we live in... Can we all stop for a minute now and re-read Caroline's last post, about the urgent Give and Make Up appeal? Ohhh, I don't see much rush in that direction...
(that said, of course I know how good value the box was and I'm happy that I finally managed to get one... but would never be so crazy mad if I hadn't!)

  65. Thank you again for all the effort from you and CultBeauty (and thanks to those awesome brands that agreed!) for making this amazing deal available to us!
The backlash is awful, but when you see how people rush and push each other for Black Friday deals, and the violence of the H&M designer collaborations, what it can be like working on the shop floor/in customer services... it's extremely sad how some react when they don't get what they wanted/expected.
Trying to get more boxes for people is really incredible of you and CB! Truly going above and beyond. Thank you for continuing to do so much for everyone out here trying to have nice skin! I hope those who didn't get them get a second chance and everyone has a lovely holiday season, knowing that we are so privileged to have a warm place to sleep, food and clothes on our backs.

  66. Thank you, Caroline. That is good news. I really appreciate the effort you, Cultbeauty and the brands are making.
I have one suggestion for the next launches of Boxes [really hope there will be more): Maybe it is better to communicate the exact launch time like you did now ( 12 pm - 1am). This way people who are working know when to look out for the box. That is just so much more realistic as most of us cannot check our mail accounts every five minutes.
    Greetings from Germany,Anne

  67. To be honest Caroline I completely think you are going above and beyond for some of these people whose comments were out of order. Even if you send out another email with an attempt at a box again you will still get the same selfish people throwing their toys out of the pram when they don't get one. It's just ashame that at the moment the absolute success of the CHCB has been overshadowed by selfishness and greediness and the thank you's have all been lost amongst the cruel words. As it turns out I got my email, ordered the box even had my email to say it's been shipped - winning!!! (for those that say they didn't get an and blame the 'system' have you considered for a minute you may have entered your email address incorrectly? No thought not - it was definitely someone else's fault)

    ReplyDelete
  68. These news sound fab! Hopefully we get a chance again. I too was too late since I was probably doing something less important ... but my fault. I can't believe how rude people have been. It's not anyone's fault. So let's grow up and act like adults.

You're amazing and my skin has never been so good. So Thank you Caroline! sincerely! If you have any recommendations/advice to a Scandinavian lady living in a cold and dry atmosphere for 5 months, they would be highly appreciated. I guess it's just a question of hydration? Anyway. Thank you for being awesome :D

  69. Get a grip people. Devastation is the refuge crisis, terrorism taking innocent lives, and diseases with no cure. Missing out is disappointing yes, but not an excuse for lashing out. I received an email at midnight, opened it at 630 and boxes were gone. Sigh, and move on. Lovely to perhaps have a second chance at more boxes (thx CH and Cult) but some people clearly don't deserve one.

  70. You're amazing Caroline!
I did get a box and am so happy that I did! It did put a bit of a dampener on the whole thing though, seeing the hostile comments of some of those that didn't. I guess it was all part of the hype, eh?
Anyway, well done to Cult beauty too. Looking forward to ordering from them again. Once my bank balance has recovered that is...
Thanks so much for an awesome box!

  71. For any Gmail users like me, who didn't get an email, you might want to check the 'Bin' folder. Not trash or junk or spam, just 'Bin'. After reading above that everyone was sent an email I did a full hunt and that's where my email was. It doesn't show up in All Mail, and it doesn't show up in a general search for Cult Beauty. Just thought I'd mention it in case new boxes are released, people might want to keep an eye on that folder! (or figure out how to stop emails going there, that's beyond me.)

And of course, many thanks to CH & CB for offering such a great deal in the first place, and then for trying to offer it to even more people - that's really great customer service!

  72. The timing was GREAT for North America - I SO appreciate that! Looking forward to the next one.
