  5. I am the lucky girl who won the SHOW BEAUTY giveaway and i must say i am in love with pretty much everything they sent me! My favourites though are the treatment oil and the working texture spray. Thanks Caroline, i'd never heard of the brand (until you) and now i'm telling everyone and their mothers that they must check it out!

  9. great video, what is the name of the lipstick / gloss that you are wearing? It looks lovely :-) Also my skin has been very dry recently i have been switching between Tata Harper Oil Replenishing Nutrient Complex and Ren Vita Mineral Omega 3 Skin Oil- my skin is still very dry should I opt for a more nourishing moisturiser (have been using Una Brenan day cream) or do I need a more heavy duty serum.

    Current routine
    AM
    Cleanse - Balance Me
    Acid - Pixie Glow Tonic
Mist - La Poche Rosay Serzonic
    Serum - Ren
    Moisturiser - Una Brenan

    PM
    Cleanse - EH
    Acid - Pixie GT
Mist - La Roche Posay Serzonic
Serum - Sunday Riley Good Genes (scarring)
    Oil - Tata Harper
    Moisturiser - Olay

Apologies for any typo's - trying to type this before my baby wakes up! And sorry for being so cheeky! My skin is so un-comfortable but I'm worried about wasting money on a product that doesn't work or isn't any good so I thought I'd ask!

I have suffered with adult acne but since finding your blog have come off antibiotics and have it pretty much under control :-) I originally found the Ren Oil a little cloying but since my skin has dried out it doesn't seem to block up my pores anymore - but the relief from applying my oils and moisturisers doesn't last very long.

Even f you don't have time to reply, thank you very much for reading my comment.

  10. Thanks for the video. Lots of bits to try out. I'd love you to do a facial massage video if you can. Help me get my head round "more grip, less slip".
    Big love :)

  11. I have the Chanel Serum & Mascara and the Hourglass palette (purchased thanks to you) in my list as well.
I can't live without this mascara. Tip for ladies suffering from blackening of their cheeks: put a layer of Clarins Double Fix Mascara, it works wonders!
Thank you for sharing this list with us, I'm going to have a look at these CC creams and the Z luminous serum.

  12. I have the same problem with my eyelashes! Mascara tends to weigh them down even more, so I end up looking sleepy and/or bored. I've discovered 2 things: first, Lancôme's eyelash primer (no droopy eyelashes!! Woohoo) and second, Guerlain's Cils d'Enfer (amaaaaazeballs even used alone).
I guess now I'll have to try that Chanel too.

  13. I hope you dont mind me asking, or think I'm being arsey 😊 but a while ago you were all over Sunday Riley and nowadays you make no mention of the brand or the products. Did you "go off" them or are there just better alrernatives out there? Happy New Year, Angie x

  14. This was wonderful and informative as always. Love the Zelens products. Going to try and find some of the January Labs Tonic Mist. Living in the US, my first boyfriend at uni had a Triumph TR7 convertible. ;) Loving your red nail polish!! Can you share what color it is?

  15. Top tips thank you. Caroline I'm a lady of a similar age to you desperately trying to become a girl again. My skin is pretty good no horrendous signs of aging but definitely just a bit lack luster at the moment - I look like I need sleep! any tips on how to get my glow on again? My skin generally responds better to oils than moisturisers - currently considering pushing my budget to something with a bit more kick such as Sunday Riley Luna and/or Juno; Darphin 8 Flower; Kat Burki Power Trio. Any advice or direction mucho appreciado. Thx for getting me this far xo

  17. You've cost me a fortune in the last 12 months but I'm so happy haha. Lucky cult beauty!
I'm on the hunt for a new serum for my mid twenties combination acne prone (huge cystic acne on chin, jaw and just above upper lip area) skin. I've been using good genes but haven't found it mind blowing. I recently used skin Iceland pore minimising cream but my skin has reacted pretty bad to it. Any good serums/treatments i should be buying? Happy new Year Caroline and to your lovely family

  18. NOTHING makes me happy in the same way that a new video from you (on a work day, when I can close my office door and watch you while I eat lunch) can. I laughed like a schoolgirl when you dropped that "Bob's your uncle." Sad but true...! Never truncate these, the lengthier the better.

  19. I got the show beauty texture spray but it tangles my lucks up; maybe I'm using too much!

    1. The working texture spray is best for a curled/tousled/textured style. If you're wanting a sleek groomed finish the finishing spray would be best. It adds shine and holds with a natural feeling finish without weighing the hair down. If you're wanting to create 'oomph' without texturising the hair, volume mousse applied to wet hair is amazing to help create fullness without the hair feeling like it has product in. Hope this helps!

  22. Caroline - I have only just discovered your blog. Where have you been all my life?! Thanks for demystifying, enlightening and educating (oh yes, and entertaining) me. A real pleasure to read. Thank you.

  23. Hi Caroline, I'm new here but have recently become more than a little bit obsessed with your blog (amazing work, by the way!). And, I'm just wondering whether there's a reason why you never seem to review Kiehls products?
I'm 26, just recently started earning a decent living and am about to invest for the first time in decent skincare products. I'm compiling a little wishlist and keep coming across recommendations for Kiehls eye creams but was disheartened when I couldn't find any glowing reviews on the mecca that is your blog. Anyway, I just thought I'd ask if there was any particular reason.
Keep up the good work! K

  24. is it just me or do the links not work?

  25. Hi Caroline, loved the video! I'm so glad you mentioned olaplex! I've been dying to try it. I was wondering if you felt the Olaplex from the amazon link you posted is the real deal in salon stuff? I read a couple of reviews where people seemed to think it's a fake. It's so much cheaper so I'm a little wary lol.

  29. Thank you Caroline! I'm new to your blog & youtube channel and have become a huge fan (just found you this week, actually). I'm a 36-year old, full-time working mom of 3 living in California. I've recently learned that it's okay to spend money on myself (big adjustment for me) and I've made stepping up my skin care routine a goal. Thank you for educating me and helping me discover great products.

  30. The Chanel micro serum looks good but has garnered negative points due to high amounts of alcohol .... I'm reconsidering purchasing this item
