  1. I know this sounds crazy and that's fine: In-flight mask? I take about eight flights per year that hit the six hour mark and I would love to do something for my face that I can get through TSA.

    1. Sheet masks really do the trick for me. But they look scary ;). I normally put a scarf over my face and pretend to be sleeping. But anything hydrating.

    2. I fly long haul a lot as my husband is on a long term contract in Singapore and I am based in the UK. I use Sisley Rose mask which is beautifully hydrating and clear once on the skin. I also use Liz Earle oil in the roller ball dispenser, both really help to counteract the effects of the dry cabin air and the containers aren't too large.

    3. not crazy! I have a 15 hour flt to EU, can shower on london layover (2hrs - no access to any potential checked back) and then have to go straight into business meetings!

      WWCHD???

    4. Skin, Inc has a great hydrating clear gel mask "Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask" that comes in a travel size tube so is TSA approved.

You can purchase from their website or Sephora.com.

  3. Any request? Can you do skincare for black people or it'se basically the same?

Miss your vlogs, Caroline. Have a lovely evening :)

  14. Facials to calm allergic skin. Also acids that someone who is allergic to salicylic acid can use (those two may be somewhat related... ahem). Miss your vlogs as well!!

  15. Hi caroline, I am a 33 year old mother of 3 who is permanently suffering sleeping deprivation. I fell in love with your vlogs and blogs while feeding my baby at 3am! I am hoping you could recommend products that will make my skin look more awake!!! I am ashamed to say I am so exhausted in the evening I sometimes don't even wash my face. Thanking you in advance, Ruth

    1. Second! Something quick that can serve as penance to the skin gods when I used a (gasp) wipe the night before because I just needed to get in bed.

  16. Facials for: congested skin, dry, flaking skin, and post medical peel skin. Thank you Caroline!

  17. I know you love a good acid, but it would be great to understand if you can combine acids in various forms - i.e. would it cause skin irritation to follow a mask (such as REN Glycolic radiance renewal) with a glycolic toner (e.g Pixi glow tonic) then with an AHA serum (e.g Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic Brightening serum), and then what moisturiser would be best suited to this? Thanks in advance for your enlightening advice :)

    1. The Combining Actives Carefully Facial. I need this! I always have a crazy tendency to throw everything in and worry I will peel off the last sheet mask and have Invisible Man skin. Adice on layering would be grand.

  18. I recently had a surgery and ugh... I couldn't barely stand front of sink 15min... Could you please do a post surgery facial routine...? I had to choose within time allowed, oil cleanse, acid wipe then... serum ugh.... barely got to moisturizer part.... >.<

  19. Caroline: Are you going to Beautycon LA? I was hoping that you would be there with Pixi?? I am going and would LOVE to meet you. You have changed my aging skin and have been following your protocol with excellent results and would love to THANK you in person.

  21. Love the idea for this post! I'd love to see a PRE-flight mask, if there's such a thing?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Maybe a "I just visited the city and it was so polluted" treatment? Heading to big cities when the air is polluted always take a massive toll on my skin, regardless of how many times I cleanse when I get home!
Thanks for all you do Caroline! Really appreciate it :)

  28. Lady Hirons, oh saviour of my skin, I wonder if you could do a little cheat sheet or blog entry on 'holiday skincare.' I'm going on a sunny holiday at half term (in ten days! Not that I'm counting or anything...). I saw on your Insta that you reduced your acid toning whilst on hols - should I do the same? I also use Differin at night - should I leave this at home or reduce its usage at all? I'm 37, oily-ish skin with spots sometimes and a Hirons-approved regime. I hereby swear to the skincare gods that I will obey all SPF commandments, obvs. Your assistance, as always, will be appreciated so much a to be treated as gospel, so many, many thanks.

    1. +1 I´m also interested in knowing the best way to take care of my skin after going to the beach. I´m going to the beach for a week this summer and even though I´ll use a good SPF, my skin will need a bit of love afterwards. Thank you for all your wisdom, Caroline. You´re simply the best!!!

  31. Facials for common problems eg 1. Dehydration 2. Redness 3. Dullness 4. Hormonal acne. Or even better a facial that combats all of the above problems! :)

  32. If I may be so greedy as to ask for another...

What about DIY masks with a cocktail of products we have in our arsenal already? Reusing a sterilized mask (Tony Moly) or making a fresh mask (Muji) of one's own creation seems intriguing to me. I'm inclined to soak it in a combination of Fresh Seaberry oil and some mid-level glycolic acid. Is that crazy? What two or three products would work well for a custom mask?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I love a good mud mask but not sure if I should exfoliate or use an acid before or after so advise on which order to use a mask in a routine please. Thank you. I'm looking forward to the post!

  39. I would love to see Best Buys or Hirons Approved products for different budgets please :-)
Taking your advice has made such a difference to my skin, to the point no one believes I'm as old as I actually am but I've just been made redundant and its unlikely my next job will pay what the old one did , so while I am going to have to lower my budget quite a way I don't want to lower my standards :-)

  40. Would love to see a sensitive skin facial. I have sensitive skin which is mature, doesn't like fragrance, is combination with dry patches and with mild rosacea. Nightmare! Emma x

    1. This as well please! I also have sensitive skin with mild rosacea and hormonal acne under the jawline, and have a helluva time finding products.

Fragrance is irritating for me, including most of the "natural" products full of essential oils like lavender, menthol, eucalyptus and citrus.

  41. Hi Caroline, I don't think its exactly what you were asking for but I'd love to know what you look for when booking professional facials? What are things you always look for in the description and what are things that you try and steer clear of? So many places offer facials/treatments it's hard to know who actually knows what they are doing. Thanks for considering!! Hope you are having a lovely day :)

  42. Recommendations for Acne/ acne scarring routine, anti-ageing (w/ retinol) please!

Love you blog, greetings from Hong Kong. x

  43. Hi Caroline! I know this is awfully specific but I was wondering if you had any recommendations for acne prone, younger skin. I have never had any luck with traditional acne medications but acids and oils have worked relative wonders for my skin so if there's anything along those lines that would be amazing! Thanks so much and tons of love from Tennessee xx

  49. Hi I love your cheat sheets and follow your routine to a t, but when do I use a mask? After serum? A lot of masks are meant to be washed off( such as una Brennan's), would that strip off all the goodness and defeat the purpose? Tks!!! X

  50. Hi Caroline,
would love to know if you think acid-based masks are necessary or recommended for people who use acid toners on a regular basis -- or is it overkill?

  63. Hi Caroline :)

Hope the kiddywinks have sorted themselves out after shoegate! A woman after my own heart πŸ‘

I'd love to see facial mask process for aiding healing of acne/blemishes (and maybe stubborn perioral :( ... ) . Anything to speed & smooth along the process of healing via home treatment/facial a little would be great to learn about.

  64. Best for a prep for a big event or photoshoot! Something that can be done either the day of or before with little to-no irritation. Just perfectly photographable lush skin. Bonus if it can help with protecting the skin from a metric tonne of makeup and champagne involved in those types of events.

  65. Another vote for an oily and hormonal skin facial session please! Something that is nourishing, calming and clarifying that I can do the night before my wedding and wake up with hopefully clear and smooth skin! Or in fact anything that I can do the morning of the wedding to ensure makeup stays put! Thank you v much
