  5. Favorite oils?! I'm sure you already filmed it or planned it but I would love to know which oils are your favorite and if there's any that you prefer for combination, 40's skin with the odd spot here and there. Also, keep in mind your SouthAmerican (Argentina) readers (me!) and that we have available here mainly French Pharmacy... Ok. If it's available in the US maybe I could get it too!

P.S. THANK YOU! Loving your nails!! Stunning.

  9. Hi Caroline,

Hope you are well! I was wondering about the alcool content in some of these products. I know you are not a fan of alcool denat. (I have dry and dehydrated skin so I avoid it like the plague), is there a particular reason you don't mind it in acid pads?

Thank you for your answer and I am anxiously waiting for the empties video xx

  10. Love the Glow Tonic (and the Pixi peel pads)! What are your thoughts on dermaplaning/face shaving?

  11. Thanks Caroline! I was surprised to hear you only leave your medical grade peelings on your clients for 3 minutes! When I did one the derma told me to sleep with it on (which is a big mess as it gets all over the sheets)... is sleeping with it needed then?

    1. It depends upon the kind of acid. Doctors use different acids than aesthetician and they may not require being rinsed or neutralized.

  12. Hi Caroline: I am a new subscriber from Florida in the states. Totally LOVE your blog and YouTube videos. I was wondering about what products do you carry in your handbag!! Say out for the day what do you suggest carrying?? Recent fan of Pixi products addicted to the Glow acid!!

  13. I like these top 5's! On a similar note to Mycarsamini, I would love a retinoid cheat sheet or even a Top 5 products to use with retinoids. For my first month on Tretinoin, I've cut way back on my original CH-informed routine. (I think that following your advice for the past year and a half may have prepped my skin and minimized the Tretinoin adjustment period so far, compared to what I have seen online, so thank you!!) I'm also wondering how and when to re-introduce acids, serums, masks... and what products you absolutely shouldn't use with retinoids, even on off-days. I have a sad pile of gorgeous exfoliant and mask samples (like exfolikate) just going to waste. You've mentioned that you are on Differen, and I'm wondering how you work it into your routine. Thank you Caroline!

  30. I love these Fave Five videos, short and to the point, though I could happily listen to you talk skin all day long! I have been using the Nip Fab pads for ages now and they are gorgeous. Just a heads up they are half price in Boots atm, online only, got another tub coming tomorrow!
Also really hoping for a cheat sheet soonish on menopausal skin. I think I'm perimenoapause and my skin has gone from big hormonal spots once a month to tiny little pin prick spots and some a little bigger all month long, only thing I can put it down to is hormones. It's driving me batty!!

  31. Thanks for mentioning a non glycolic one! My skim can't tolerate glycolic unfortunately! Using clinique toner at the minute but keen for other recommendations 😀

  32. Hi Caroline! I'm 16 and have struggled with acne for about three years now. Terrible blackheads(literally everywhere), whiteheads, red bumps, occasional cysts and of course constant oiliness. Today I decided I will rebuild my entire routine and went out and bought the Clarins Pore Minimizing Serum, Effaclar K+ moisturiser from La Roche Posay and Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot. I use Lush Ultrabalm for cleansing and will be purchasing Nip+Fab Extreme Night glycolic pads next week. I also use green clay masks.
My question for you is whether or not you think that acne can be caused only by a chronic illness. I have suffered from Irritable Bowel Syndrome for over a year now and can't seem to control it. Could gut issues be the only cause of my acne and therefore should I concentrate more on solving my digestive problem or continuing to experiment with different products? I take probiotics but they're only 2 billion in strength. I also quit veganism which I think has also been a contributor to my IBS.

  33. I am desperate to try the P50 1970 version, but living on a wee island in Britain I can't get hold of it. I was wondering though, if there were any American readers of this blog, who are able to get hold of a bottle, who would like to do a sort of trade. I know that you guys in the US can't get hold of Emma Hardie very easily and a 200ml pot of it costs around about the same as a bottle of the P50. If anyone in America would like to try Emma Hardie and do a postal swap for a bottle of P50 1970, please let me know and we can hopefully help each other get our hands on the hard-to-obtain products we desperately want to try. Thanx xx

  34. Following this video I bought the Nip+Fab pads. Having not got on so far with Pixi Glow Tonic I wasn't expecting great results but I woke up the next morning with the most amazing skin. Probably the best product I have ever used in terms of instant results. I'm only going to use twice a week at the moment as I do have sensitive/reactive skin but this is one product I will never be without.

I must say Caroline, I've only been reading your blog for about a month but after all of the changes I've made so far my skin is looking amazing. I was at the point of having to wear full foundation every day but today I'm just wearing a lightweight foundation. You are my skin saviour :)

  35. Anyone know which part of the routine you are supposed to use acid toners??

    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yes after cleansing. Then it's spritz, eye cream, serum, oil if needed and then moisturiser, if you use all those.
