  1. I treat these as a luxury add on to my routine rather than an essential but share the Sjal love. Another couple worth trying are the Ananda Antioxidant Rich Tonic by Antipodes and The Body Deli one (US only but I think A Beautiful World stock it. I have it in Citrus Vanilla and it is truly lushhhhhh.

  4. The new REN anti-pollution mist is divine - it smells great, the mist i fine enough to use over makeup, and it gives just the right amount of moisture to perk things up

  5. While I love the Jasmine Garden, I like to mix things up with some less expensive (and easier to obtain/refill) options. I tried the Pixi by Petra hydrating milky mist, but it always seems to sting. Why might that be? Or is it all in my head @carolinehirons?

    1. It stung me too. Could be the witch hazel...

  8. Hi Caroline Thanks for all your great advice. I think the next step for me is retinols but have no idea where to start! Would you do a cheat sheet including products to start with and products to progress to? I'm 36 and behind the game!! Many thanks

    1. Not sure what your budget is but Skinceuticals retinol ( in 2 stengths ) is excellent. You can use a couple of times a week to start then build up. You must use a high spf the next day ( though you should be doing this anyway)

  9. Ah, that will be interesting to watch. Many of the spritzes I have tried so far did nothing or were heavy on alcohol.

  10. I'm still a little confused about how you chose these. Is it the fragrance or what it does for the skin? What is the actual difference between each of these five? How do I choose which spritz to buy? Also, at what point in my skincare routine do I use these? After acid toner? After serum? At the end? Inquiring minds want to know! ;-)

    1. There's probably already a cheat sheet on this but I can tell you that you use it after acid toning!

  12. Hi Caroline! Thank you for these videos, I love them!!
On the spritz step I've started using a korean essence like Missha Time Revolution, Iope Bio-essence or SK-II (japanese). All three have a base of ferment filtrate and some hyaluronic acid, adenosine or some other "whitening" ingredient. I find my skin smoother after use and whatever I throw on top sinks in nicer!
Would love to hear your thoughts on them!

  13. Dear Caroline, could you please do a review on Joëlle Ciocco's skincare range/ philosophy? I'm dying to know your opinion about it! Thanks in advance x

    1. I would second this. Her cleanser is supposed to be the dogs b****x but very expensive. Was also a bit put off that she works as a consultant for L'Oreal. But I think her products are made independently.

  14. I'd prefer not to spray anything at my face so am wondering if it's okay to spray it on a cotton pad and dab it on. Would it have the same effect or would I be wasting my time? Thanks.

  15. I always thought mists were not a necessity...until I tried The Jasmin Garden. I spray it liberally on my face & neck after I cleanse am & pm. The smell is intoxicating & it does help my moisturizer sink deeper into my skin. Will never be without if I can help it!

  16. Hi Caroline, loving these mini videos! Are you planning on doing an eye cream one? I have crepe-y like skin under eyes and could do with some help! I too love Instagram, my most favourite social media!

  17. Thanks for this, Caroline!
When I was in the USA, I was introduced to Andalou Naturals toning and illuminating spritz toners, very cheap and contain a good array of antioxidants and other lovely ingredients

  18. I was looking over your cheat sheet last night before I began my routine. WOW, I wish I would have began following your advice of sandwiching in moisture whenever possible. I had to try it. Using a different moisturizing spritz at different steps, serums that contain humectantants. My skin is still problematic and far from perfect after my last pregnancy but I could tell such a difference today. It looks like I'm getting my glow back. Haha and not the oil slick glow just healthy radiant skin. Thank you for your lovely advice
