MERRY CHRISTMAS

I don’t know about you, but I just literally, physically and mentally hit a wall in early December. I’m obviously still working consultant-wise, but as I’ve covered a little on the blog over the past year, we’ve really been through the mill this year family-wise.

While work is great and busier than ever, as a family unit we’ve been tested to the max for various (and obviously personal) reasons. To say the Mr and I are ‘drained’ is an understatement and I think we all just genuinely need to chill out and recuperate over Christmas and the New Year. I still have the long list of blog posts I’ve half-written, three videos to finish editing and put up and a long ‘to-do’ list for 2018. The problem is that I’ve been too tired to actually finish any of it once I sit down and try and focus.

I’ve moved my 12 Days of Giveaways to a new January setting. Everyone and their sister is doing 12 Days now so I thought I’d mix it up a little. I do want to change things up, maybe a lot, I’m not sure at this point. Probably a lot.

Whatever happens, I’ll be here in one way or another, with a lot more content. I just need a few days to hang out in my kitchen, watch Poirot and SVU, cook for everyone, squeeze the kids (a lot), annoy the cats, go see my family up north and catch up with friends. I wish you and yours a very Happy Christmas and New Year break and I’ll see you just as soon as I’ve changed my batteries. My current ones have been running on empty for too long.

*Please note I’m not writing this as an attempt at drama or for sympathy. Everyone is ok, in varying degrees, and I’m sure we’ll all be 100% with a little TLC.
I’ve had the pleasure of sharing snippets of my life with a lot of you for over seven and a half years and I just feel it’s respectful to keep you updated as to why I occasionally go quiet/disappear.. I’m still a one-woman band and don’t have a team to fall back on or fill the gaps. 🙂
