ALTRIENT C UPDATE

So back in October 2016 I blogged about this brilliant vitamin C that was introduced to me by Emily Dougherty, the now Editor-in-Chief of New Beauty magazine. Emily got me hooked and I’ve taken it regularly (albeit sporadically) ever since. I tend to take it when I’m traveling, not feeling great or when my skin is not behaving. More recently I’ve been trying to be more methodical with supplements and did a little further research on Altrient C to find they have tweaked the formula and there are other products in the range of which I have bought a few to try. I’ll update when I’ve tried them.

You can read about the C in particular and why it’s so good compared to other stuff on the market in the original post, but essentially the basic ethos of the range is that they’ve done a ton of research in making it bio-available  – so you don’t just pee it away..

They’ve upgraded the ingredients too and the inci list now reads like this;

Purified Water, Lecithin Phospholipids (from non GMO soya) Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C) Preservative: Ethanol (grain alcohol) Acidity regulator: Citric Acid.

A word on the alcohol content:
Some people don’t want to consume alcohol, mainly for reasons of faith or pregnancy/breastfeeding. The beauty of using alcohol as the preservative is that it can be evaporated. If you want to evaporate the alcohol just leave the sachet open or leave the gel in a glass for 30 minutes or so and the alcohol will evaporate. (Based on Eurofins International Independent Testing). Altrient liposomal products are preserved with a tiny amount of high quality ethanol, a very pure form of alcohol, derived from non-GMO mixed grain. This prevents microbial growth in the sachets guaranteeing that they are safe to use.  The amount of ethanol used in each sachet is equivalent to a teaspoon of red wine. Small quantities of ethanol in the blood are metabolized rapidly, unlike the medium-to-large amounts ingested in a beverage. Altrient Vitamin C does not contain added sugar, wheat, dairy, meat products, starch, yeast, hexane, artificial colours, sweeteners or flavours.

There is also an updated video – although I think she doesn’t quite ‘neck it’ quickly enough for my liking. This is not the best tasting supplement, but it IS one of the best. Trust me. Knock it back like a shot of tequila. It’s worth it. My skin improves after two days.

Right so in short:

If you live in the UK or Europe you can buy Altrient RRP £39.99 for a box of 30 sachets, there are generous discounts at www.abundanceandhealth.co.uk

If you live in the US you can buy Lypo-spheric RRP $42.95 – there is no point buying Lypo-spheric if you live in the UK as by the time you have paid tax and shipping it comes out at the same price or more.

Altrient and Lypo-spheric are the exact same products, both are made by LivOn Labs. Due to the differing governing laws in the USA/EU they are called Altrient in the EU – the same liposomes, the same patented process, the same good effect.

Enjoy!
