CHRISTMAS AT THE BODY SHOP – AD

Christmas has definitely arrived at The Body Shop – if you weren’t feeling festive before you soon will be. Feast your eyes on this lot:

Calming Camomile Gentle Cleanse Gift Set – £18.00 – http://tidd.ly/aafacaf1
This set contains my two favourite products from the Camomile Cleansing Range: the original Sumptuous Cleansing Butter and the Gentle Eye Makeup Remover (along with the muslin cloth), both absolutely top-notch cleansers. I use the Gentle Eye Makeup Remover as a micellar water all over my face when I’m traveling. It’s genuinely IMMENSE.
Suitable for all skin types.
If you want one ‘can’t go wrong’ kit, this is it.

Buying for a skin that is more sensitive? Or unsure of the recipient’s skin type?
Go easy with the Hello Aloe! Soothing Kit – £18.00 – http://tidd.ly/19bb4c5d  for the full-size Aloe Calming Foaming Face Wash (and muslin cloth) and Soothing Day Cream.
Both formulated without fragrance, colours or alcohol.
Suitable for all skin types. Vegan.
If you need a ‘when in doubt’ kit, this is it.

Now, if you’re buying for a The Body Shop fanatic/skincare connoisseur, or a slightly older skin, and you know that they already use the Camomile range etc, the Drops of Youth ‘Get Your Bounce Back’ Collection – £40.00 –  http://tidd.ly/ed624665  is what you need.
This kit includes full sizes of the original Drops of Youth Concentrate serum and Drops of Youth Cream and is suitable for all skin types. The serum is a gel texture and a good starting point for someone who may be unsure of adding a serum into their routine, as it absorbs beautifully and is made with 99% ingredients of natural origin.. (No really.)
Suitable for all skins.

If you want to pick something more bespoke, I would head to the Oils of Life section where you can take your pick from the Intensely Revitalising Cleansing Oil-in-Gel, through to the Eye Cream-Gel, the Gel Cream moisturiser, the Sleeping Cream and my favourite, the Facial Oil.
Oils of Life is suitable for all skins, but would definitely be more appreciated by a slightly older skin.

As well as being 100% cruelty-free and vegetarian, and as you would absolutely expect, The Body Shop has invested in giving back and sustainability, offering reusable jute gift pouches handcrafted by their Community Trade partner, Teddy Exports in India (great alternative to wrapping paper – you just fill with the things you know the recipient will love and tie in a bow!) and launching their first refill station in one of their Oxford Street stores (the store nearest to Bond Street tube), as well as donating £25,000 to Plan International UK to support Girls Shout Out. This is a pilot programme offering a safe, closed and moderated space on existing social media channels where girls can talk and discuss the issues that matter to them or they’re experiencing in complete privacy. It’s available to girls aged 13-21 years old and topics include body image, sexism, discrimination, gender-based violence, periods, teenage pregnancy and so forth.

Additionally, when you shop with The Body Shop this Christmas  November and December, you’ll be supporting Plan International to provide training and skills for 1500 girls in Indonesia and Brazil. The goal is to raise £250,000 for the programme, supporting girls in starting their dream business or finding their dream job.

And I need to finish by personally thanking The Body Shop for making the Tahitian Tiare Body Wash – £7.00, because it has made Max not only shower, but actively enjoy it. THANK YOU!
That’s my Christmas present right there. 🙂
